Dr. Tommie Haywood IIi, MD

Horrible. Arrogant. Asked questions but did not wait for answers. Too busy to fully explain the results of my procedure. And what was communicated was in a holding area for all to hear. Would not return. All about money and not healthcare.

This is during Covid-19, so the wait time was short. The staff is very people oriented. However, Dr Haywood appear to be the opposite. All questions were short and answered before you could explain or ask questions.Also, assertive or aggressive. I was a patient of Dr. Ellis who practce with Dr. Heyward, has retired. My experience has put up caution flags.

I just love this doctor, he communicate with you break things down for you. He has been my Gastroenterologist for over 9 years.

I don’t even know where to start! If I could rate him on a scale from -0 to -1000, it would definitely be -1000! He’s very Arrogant! He is definitely in it for the money! He has no compassion, empathy or patience for his patients. After waiting on him for an hour, he walks in ask 4 questions and we’re done! He gave me some medicine and sent me on my way! My visit with him was horrible, it was like putting a bandage on a deep wound! Don’t waste your money or time!

After waiting 40+ minutes in the room, he came in and was short from the get go. He would ask questions and before I could answer he would cut me off and ask something different. He spent less than 5 minutes in the room with me, gave me medication without explaining what they were or how to use them and left the appointment without saying a word. I sat in the room for 10 minutes after he left because I didn't even know it was over. He refused to allow me to explain my symptoms outside of his questioner. Do NOT see this doctor.

They overcharged me $500.00, and have acknowledged it, and for over two months seem incapable of issuing me a refund. the office will not even return my calls. Do not use this place!

Dr Haywood is in it for the money. He literally rushes patients out the room and has a bad habit of cutting people off when they’re talking. He put in his assessment that I have major constipation although I’ve never been constipated in my life. Lol. It’s so much negative about him as a doctor. He’s closer to an animal doctor rather than a human doctor

This Dr, ask a question and then uses it as a diagnosis so it can get paid... very sad.

On the day of the procedure I read the reviews about Dr. Haywood and wonderded if I had made a mistake in choosing this doctor. Forget the reviews. From start to finsih the staff and Dr Haywood were very caring, courteous and timely. I arrived at the office at 9:25 for my 10:00 appt. At 10:15 it was all over. The intake clerk was very professional and assuring of getting me in and out promptly. The anesthesialogist explained, anesthesia and answered my concerns. The nurse took my history and expalined procedure. After the procedure I awoke refresh and alert. Staf made sure i was ok. After dressing De Haywoood cam and spoke with me to address findings. I had to wait about 10 minutes for him but that is nothing. I know he has other patients and I do not expect him to drop everything to see me. I waited my turn patiently. He was fantastic. I recommend he and his staff to anyone that has to undergo a colonoscopy. Thank you Dr Haywood and staff. See you in 5 years.
