Dr. Tracy A. Siegfried is a specialist in both internal medicine and bariatric medicine. She developed a comprehensive non-surgical weight loss program that helps form the basis of The N.E.W. Program, which she joined in 2003. Her current focus is on maximizing the long-term success of both medical and surgical patients. Her expertise in weight loss and nutrition has helped expand the quality of post-operative management offered to patients. She is currently completing a manuscript for publication demonstrating The N.E.W. Program's success in improving weight loss after bariatric surgery using the new weight loss medication, Qsymia. Dr. Siegfried earned degrees in both biology and child psychology from the University of Minnesota. She then completed her medical degree and training in internal medicine at the Pritzker School of Medicine, University of Chicago. Dr. Siegfried received training in bariatric medicine, weight loss and nutrition while at the University of Chicago and is a member of The Obesity Society.
