- Family Medicine
A family practitioner is a doctor who specializes in caring for people of all ages, at all stages of life. Rather than focusing on the treatment of one disease or patient population, family practitioners are often the doctors that people see for their everyday ailments, like cold and flu or respiratory infections, and health screenings. When necessary, family practitioners will provide referrals for conditions that require the expertise of another specialist.
The doctors may also provide physicals, inoculations, prenatal care, treat chronic diseases, like diabetes and asthma, and provide advice on disease prevention.

Dr. Caudill was a good doctor, but billing issues and unwillingness by his staff to assist in resolving them caused me to move to another office. On a routine visit, I was asked if I wanted an additional procedure done. I questioned how that procedure would pay based on my insurance, and I was assured that it would pay as preventive care. I agreed to the procedure, it did not pay as preventive care, and the office staff just said sorry, guess we were wrong, you'll need to call our billing dept. to argue your case. We spent a ridiculous amount of time trying to get a resolution from their billing people who kept referring us back to the office staff that had billed it incorrectly and now wouldn't help us. The office also told us not to pay the bill until all was resolved, but then the billing people threatened to send us to collections when we did as the office asked. Truly idiotic situation of "Who's on First?" and neither side cared that their patient was caught in the middle of their error. Finally gave up, paid the bill we didn't owe, and found a new doctor's office.
