Dr. Trevor T. Kraus, MD

Complete opposite of the doctor I was scheduled to see. Dr. Kruas, as a first impression is an arrogant, judgmental and aloof doctor. I was scheduled to see Dr. Younas, who I had seen once in this office and was doing a follow up to the injection I received two weeks prior. I have an auto-immune disease called Myasthenia Gravis. Either Dr. Kraus is a liar, or incompetent. He walked in with a prepared speech about how he has been in pain management for a long time, but was new to 'this practice' and that things will be different. The arrogance of the changing environment was laughable and his arrogance was evident. After visiting with his PA, Brian, who asked me if I had any pain pills... he could see that I was in pain. He suggested that I ask for a muscle relaxer or pain pill. (Quick history, I don't like taking more pills than I already do... If I ask for pain pills, I am in extreme pain.) I live in chronic pain, so I know when something is different. I was in major pain and had a… flare up due to my disorder. My lower back was really hurting and I had been up all night. After Dr. Kraus, who was "only interested in the day of the injection". He didn't get to know me, he didn't care about anything else, except to get to the next patient. He addressed the one thing, the follow up, he could care less that I was in pain at that moment. When I did ask for any kind of pain relief, he immediately responded "Nope! You have to go back to your neurologist because I don't know your needs as an MG patient." Sadly, I believed him until my neurologist asked me, "Didn't I send you to a pain management doctor?" Dr. Kraus, sir... you are a PAIN MANAGEMENT DOCTOR. Not a judge of my appearance. I have long hair and a beard, but guess what? I am a retired teacher of 20 plus years, I have kids in the medical field. You made a judgement because YOU are a gatekeeper. Bro, I don't like taking pills, but I hurt so bad I asked. And you lied. Doctors are supposed to care for people. How about you get to know me before you assume I am trying to get drugs. I am so upset and it's been three days since I have gone. On that note, I called the main office in Frisco as I saw him in Denton, and told them he is not a fit. I would rather drive to see Dr. Younas as he is the opposite of Kraus. Although the woman who answered was sympathetic, I never got a follow-up call, nor an apology, nor any relief. Do yourself a favor, cancel any thoughts/appointments when considering Dr. Kraus. He doesn't care. He's 'been doing this for years'. He may need to reconsider his methods... but my guess is, he chooses and filters out his version and assumption of who certain people are... he makes judgements. And for that, he gets a star... but I prefer zero stars for this guy. He is not a nice guy, nor does he care about you.

Dr Krause is very rude and brusque. I could hear him talking negatively about me to the MA in the hall. I have passed every drug test, but when my meds stopped working after almost 3 years he very rudely told me he couldn’t help me change to a different med, or add in another med (didn’t have to be narcotic, I just want relief). I just need my quality of life back. Pain management docs are hard to come by-I am not sure what to do now.

Transferring my files to a new Dr. took 3 weeks to get back to me, when the recording says they will respond within 24 hours. I left another message 10 day's for something else and no response yet. Aside from poor response times, I had 6 shots in my lower back and no relief.

After 4 shots in lower back, no relief. Called the Drs. Assistant and no response. Yup loves to bill your insurance company for nothing. No wonder insurance rates are so high.

Dr. T. Kraus is a excellent Dr. For what ever pain you have he will give you good care. Also he is a kind caring understanding Dr. & takes time to listen to your medical needs & he also has a good staff.
