Dr. Tristan Campbell Pico, MD

On two days in May, 2023, Dr. Pico performed nerve blocks on my left and right knees to allow doctors to evaluate whether nerve ablation was a treatment option for me. I was very anxious about the procedure because I am already in a lot of pain from bone-on-bone knee function and I had no experience with long needles in the knee as pain treatment. I had read the reviews regarding Dr. Pico and the Mountain View Surgery Center, but those did little to tell me what to expect from the surgery. The first day I was so frightened that I almost called it off. But now, having completed two nerve blocks, I could not be more impressed with the treatment I received. If ablation is recommended by my pain doctor I will confidently schedule it with Dr. Pico. In my experience the surgeon, anesthesiologist, and every team member I observed was calm, focused, and professional. They were also kind and helpful, which made my experience much more tolerable. My comfort and satisfaction seemed paramount. I… can recommend Dr. Pico and the Surgical Center without reservation. I believe that every patient on site when I was there was skillfully, ethically, and courteously cared for. Recommended with respect.

I was called and requested to come in early for my first visit, which I did. Then I was left in the waiting room and forgotten and never seen. I'm really not invisible. Poorly run office all the way around

Dr. Pico has give me life back. From showing up for the procedure to walking out tge door. He and his staff make it stress free. I lived with pain for years until Dr.Pico proved there is a solution and really cares about his patients . God Bless you

I spent 2 one half years with this doctor hoping to be cured of pain. It didn’t work! I rarely got examined .Most of it was talk with a nurse practitioner. If I wanted to see Dr. Pico It was always available for a few Minutes. Armed without any imaging from this office, I went out to find the best surgeon possible and yes surgery was offered after an MRI was ordered. I told the NP’s what I was doing and it was written down in my notes as though it was their recommendation! Praise God I listened to Him! Next, I had my neck done with the surgeon with an MRI before hand!My neck was extremely bad with at least one broken bone! It again was not imaged by Dr. Pico’s office!

I have dealt with chronic pain for 25 years. I've seen many pain doctors due to retirement, illness or other reasons beyond my control I've changed doctors many times. I've also lived in different cities. This is by far the worst experience I have ever had at any doctors office. Let's start with the staff. Couldn't have been more brusk with me and other patients as they checked in. The staff person who took my initial information seemed competent but not pleasant. Dr Pico was outlandishly rude, aggressive and kept telling me I was interrupting him when I was only trying to answer his questions while he pelted me with others. While I have had many wonderful doctors, I have also experienced the arrogant or unpleasant ones which I will stay with if they are helping me. Dr. Pico's behavior falls well outside any established norm I have experienced seeing a doctor. No patient deserves to be treated in the manner I was. I did not go back for the follow up appointment. He offered me no help… or even ideas on solutions in the first appointment and determined the care I had been receiving for years from several different pain management doctors that helped me was wrong. Stay away as there are other options out there with doctors who will treat you with dignity.

He did not help me, in fact after the visit the pain came back in an hour, of if he can"t cure it, you just get a script for pain meds . His staff is rude and very disorganized, i would not take my dog there, gfy

After one course of injections, my mother was told while coming out of anesthesia she told the nurse she was felt 100% better, it was a total lie made up in the moment by Dr. Pico, my mom told him many times that she recalled never telling the nurse anything, he refused to belive her and said he was going to take her off her pain medication she has been taking for past few years and proceeded to get more and more angry and stormed out, after calling her a lier, I would never refer anyone to this doctor.his assistant Courteney said she was going to not remove her from her medications until her pain was gone and Dr.Pico seemed to be angry when my mother told him what she had promised her.Dr.Pico is a joke for a doctor and should have his license taken away.

Excellent doctor

These people dont truly care about their patients or about their pain!! They say they want people off pain meds because they are sooo bad for people; yet they are charging insurance companies not only for THEIR pain treatments & having them come in sometimes every week but then charging thousands for drug testing every time you go in. I am extremely sick & DO have medical documentation to back it up & was treated like a drug attack by courtney; not to mention the rude comments like "everyone over 40 has arthritis" & goes through mentapause"; i could list many more rude comments she said. The fact is these are the least of my problems, i have chronic pancreatitis, spinal stenosis, pinched siatica & have had several muscle biopsies that show my muscles are detiorating & the muscle doctors KNOW i have a serious muscle disease/disorder that they are still trying to diagnose. And had courtney even taken the time to talk to me about my past, she would of known that ive already gone through… the cortisone injections & therapy & was off pain meds for awhile & even on tramadol. But She did not want to hear anything about my problems & literally almost cost me my life!!! Ive been disabled for 10 years & have NEVER done drugs "a day" in my life...i take about 15 presciptions & Ive always taken them as prescribed: just as my many specialist dr's have ordered. Sadly Only someone who is truly sick & in extreme pain could understand that what she did to me not only physically but mentally harmed me. And im sure there are people who need to be taken off pain meds. But the fact they are doing the same thing with ALL their patients only shows this place is nothing but a MONEY machine for them & they could care less about the actual patients. And they better hope i stay sick because if i do ever get to the point of being a normal functioning person, i will make it my life's mission that they pay for what they are doing to people. And to the person who made a comment on this site that "only drug attacks are complaining"; im glad you have never truly lived through so much pain that you have no life anymore! So count your blessings & make sure you pray for judging others..
