Dr. Troy Huvilla Niguidula, MD

Dr. Niguidula is one of the most amazing doctors that I have met. He is very patient and understanding. He makes sure that he answers all of my concerns. What I love the most about him is that he always makes sure that you are taken care of. He listens and he will always ask if you are satisfied with his explanation. He is kind and caring as well as very down to earth.

It's nearly impossible to get him or his office to pay attention to what the patient is saying about their medical condition. They just want to make an appointment for 2 weeks in the future. That doesn't help with the medical questions I have NOW. What's the point in trying to call his office for assistance or with questions about the medications he has prescribed or side effects experienced? This has happened every single time I've called. Absolutely useless. Worst patient care. It's almost like not having a doctor at all.

It was my 3d visit following a stroke. I had a minor altercation with the receptionist when the doctor was out. It was Tuesday when I asked if I was still on for Tuesday. I was the only one who hadn't been called. So I asked fo a prescription which had been due Monday. Then she got mad and told me I'd have to wait til Thursday for my medication. She didn't ask which one. But you cannot catch then in a misstep without the doctor taking sides and planning something to hurt the patient. It has happened before. On Thursday the doctor acted like I was the problem, since he had had a family emergency. I didn't mention it to him. but he was ready. It didn't matter that I hadn't been called. I hadn't said what drug was late so he was now within his rights to cut my sleeping pills in half or my tranquilizers off completely or both if I had any intention to give it 10 seconds of thought. I reminded him that he had tried that before and I didn't sleep or do much else that month, so… he put the dosage back up. He ruffled through all my meds and said he had to save his license. They weren't even all sleep meds, but rather all meds. I am in a lot of pain for a lot of reasons. I get pain meds from a pain management doctor, who he called to get my pain meds cut off too. The session was short because I was too worthless to take up any of his time. When I said that I would feel just as bad as I did the last time he halved my dose, he said I looked pretty bad anyway. The stroke symptoms have some really bad days. and this was one. I had hoped to ask about that and a recent diagnosis of pre diabetes, and for a refill of my high cholesterol pills. And i still need a lot of medical care, physical therapy, and lots more and I have had Lyme disease for over 40 years. Since it's such a poorly understood disease, he ignores it like it's no big deal, and not a factor. I also have untreated sleep apnea, but I've been busy relearning how to walk and talk and everything. He had just made it a top priority but refused to give me a referral to a sleep specialist.

Dr. Niguidula is professional and friendly at the same time. He tales the time to listen to his patients and really cares for them.
