Worst doc ever Did hammertoe surgery and worse than Prior Never available after surgery Avoid him and do yourself a favor finding another doctor

We had an excellent experience seeing Dr Wind in Tappahannock. He was really nice to talk to also.

Dr. Wind performed my hip replacement 3 months ago. He exuded confidence and explained everything about the procedure beforehand in such a way that I looked forward to the my surgery. A week later, I walked freely, with the help of only a cane. I can recommend this doctor to anyone who is in need of hip replacement. I liked his personal approach, professionalism, and care.

Dr Wind and everyone at his office are top-notch, couldn't ask for better.

Dr Wind helped me with shoulder pain and eventually did shoulder surgery. He was great. He seemed invested in helping the pain go away. I am pain free now.

We were sent to Dr. wind from the emergency room. We had a 1:40pm. After an hour I heard the staff told people it would be an hour and a half wait - we had already been there an hour . At 4:45 the doctor finally came in. It was 3 +hours later. My husband had been in pain eight out of 10 and we been sitting there waiting. The doctor took 5 minutes drawing fluid from the knee and giving him a shot. Clearly the doctor thinks his time is more valuable than everybody else who comes in. My observation was he scheduled on the 15 minutes per person schedule packing people and then made them wait. It Seems from an outsiders point of view that he's all about the money and not about the people.That's very poor time management. It's my understanding he is the one that is recommended by the hospital and that doesn't seem to matter except he just packs people in the schedule. I find that very unprofessional. He may be a very good doctor and have a lot of knowledge and a lot of skills but I… would not send anybody there nor would I go again .

I had both knees replaced this year. I have been back for several follow-ups at his office, but I have been under the care of his Physicians Assistant since my second surgery. I have not seen Dr. Wind since the morning of my second surgery...he has been Missing in Action. I find this totally unacceptable. It's like his patients don't matter after he has collected his payment for surgeries. I chose him because of location...maybe I should have been more willing to travel to Fredericksburg or Richmond for my knee replacements. I am still experiencing pain, muscle spasms, and swelling 6 months later.

Dr. Wind replaced my right knee last October, 3016. While I am still having problems it certainly due to anything Dr. Wind did or did not due. The lack of appropriate exercise that is still causing my knee to bother me is obviously my fault. Everything Dr. Wind did to try to help me was done professionally and in a timely matter. I enjoyed office visits with him and he took a lot of time with me to explain everything he was going to do. I highly recommend him if you are having any kind of bone or joint problem.

Dr. Wind is a good surgeon however he does not spend time with his patients. Nor is he available to answer questions. Post surgery you see only his physician assistant.

If your looking for a doctor with a competent staff, keep looking. Eight weeks my hip replacement when I complained of still having quite of pain, I was told that most people are beyond that level of pain and that was that. I'm a nurse myself and found this type of blanket statement and blatant disregard for my well being and comfort to be appalling since it basically meant suck it up. Because I was still in so much pain, I was unable to be a mobile as I needed to be, which slowed my progress significantly. And Dr. Wind was not much better. This doctor and his nurses and office staff need to treat people on a case by case basis instead of adhering to to the same care plan and applying it universally to everyone, regardless of their circumstances and a blatant disregard for their patients individual needs
