Dr. Tyra Carthena Harris

I have never been to a doctor that was so awfully closed minded an felt so much of a need to be "right" that she chose to degrade you. I had been in extreme pain for many months. I couldn't sleep because of the pain. The doctor I had seen was taking too long to call back, make appointments, etc. I needed to get other things fixed before the surgeon could operate on me. I went to I Dr. Tyra Harris, explained my feelings and symptoms to her and hoped she may be able to tell suggest another doctor, tell me a course of action to get things to move along faster... something.. I had been in pain for so long and had lost so much sleep I needed hope! This young doctor told me that I had to understand that my pain was NOT an emergency to a doctor and my insomnia was NOT an emergency to a doctor and that if the other doctor was moving slow... well..it was because GOOD doctors have many patients. They give their time to people and if it takes a long time to get to you.. it's because they are… taking care of other patients. I just looked at her.. in my older age.. and said, "I have THIS to say to that, I think a good doctor would never take on more patients than he or she the could properly handle and properly care for. I don't feel as if I have been being properly handled, and not cared for at all." She then proceeded to talk about something else, picked my purse up out a chair and handed to me. Then she said " And people that can't sleep are mentally ill." What???? Did she just shove me out of the office? Decide on another DR.
