Very arrogant, very judgmental and dismissive. Worst doctor I’ve come across and I have a disease so I’ve had a lot of experience with a lot of doctors. I don’t go to Mount Sinai anymore, thank GOD for Presbyterian Hospital

This is the worst doctor I’ve come across stay away from him if you go to Mount Sinai I’m prepping a lawsuit against him and Mount Sinai

I have an autoimmune disease, FMF, which puts me in major pain. Before I got diagnosed, he used that as an excuse. When I got diagnosed with Familia Mediterranean Fever, not only did he not know what that was, he googled it on his phone for a minute or 2 and then denied me the proper medication to bring me out of the attack from FMF attacks. Then Dr.Ugo told me to get a written Dr’s letter from my Rheumatologist stating I require certain medication. When I brought the letter, he refused me again! My 2 doctors have even called the ER to tell him to get me out of pain and attacks. On one occasion, he didn’t treat me at all for 4 hours. He made me leave and go to Presbyterian hospital where I was admitted for 17 days for Extremely dehydrated 30,000 plus white blood cell count Distended Intestines Fluid in my lungs Worst doctor I’ve ever come across The doctors at Presbyterian hospital couldn’t believe Dr. Ugo didn’t treat me, he let me leave with a 30,000 plus white blood… cell count

Does not take the time to thoroughly examine a situation, very very reckless, and dismissive , I can only hope stops his behavior before it’s too late!! People’s lives at his hands , pretty freaking scary!! Rant over

He misdiagnosed my friend, and sent him to another hospital to be treated after giving him wrong medication. The ensuing visit to the other hospital revealed his misdeeds.

He’s made my life more difficult than it should be. mount Sinai is 10 minutes away from my house but I’m forced to go to other hospitals. He’s also a racist I may add!! I’ve left mount Sinai plenty of times because he refused to meet my needs that are well documented. I have an autoimmune disease (FMF). He’s also lied on 4 times about my other doctors telling him to give me pain medicine. He would tell me they didn’t say that and I have proof via my emails. I’m still struggling with this disease but once I’m better I’m going after him hard. He’s going to wish he never met me!!!

It's not often that you find a doctor who is willing to take the time to explain exactly what's going on, in a manner that is clear, concise and not condescending. Dr. Ugo made me feel like a person, not a number, and really put me at ease.
