Dr. Ujjwala Dheeriya, MD

Dr. Dheeriya is dedicated to optimizing quality of life for her patients through building compassionate relationships with them and their family. She is board-certified in Palliative Care and Hospice (2012) and Internal Medicine with Focused Practice in Hospital Medicine (2010) by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She attended Smith College as an undergraduate, earned her medical degree at the University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville, VA and went on to complete her internship and residency at Tufts University Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA.
Dr. Dheeriya has a distinguished history with Torrance Memorial, serving as a founding member of the Torrance Memorial Hospitalist Associates, as well as the Chief Medical Officer of Torrance Memorial Integrated Physicians Accountable Care Organization prior to becoming the Medical Director and Outpatient Physician for the Palliative Care Program in 2020.
Dr. Dheeriya is a Fellow of the American College of …Physicians as well as a member of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Care, the California Coalition for Compassionate Care, and the California Hospice and Palliative Care Association.
She lives in Palos Verdes with her husband and two sons, and especially loves to be able to serve the local South Bay community in her practice. She raises service dogs and enjoys cooking, listening to audiobooks, attending concerts with her husband, and watching her sons play water polo.
