Dr. Usha Rani Surapaneni, MD

I was pretty surprised by the other 2 positive reviews since I did not find that Dr. Surapaneni spent time with me, clearly did not take my symptoms seriously and failed to even be able to explain a test that she had ordered as to how it was administered and what the results meant. She finally sent me to a specialist but that took over a year of me requesting this specifically. I was underwhelmed with the care I received. On the positive side, the new MLK facility if beautiful, light and airy and the team that draws bloods and does the breast exams are top notch.

I love this woman. She is the best physician I have ever had. She is professional, friendly and is genuinely concerned about her patient's health. My main health issues are Diabetes and High Blood Pressure. She is elated when my BP and AIC are within range and will not be happy when they are not. She'll ask what happened, what are you doing or not doing and this makes me want to take better care of myself because I when I go back for the next followup I don't want to disappoint her. Isn't that something.. not myself, but her. That's the impact she has on me. She explains lab reports, diagnosis and procedures. She never rushes in and out. After explaining everything she ALWAYS ask do I have any questions and if so she will answer as many as there might be. If she ever decides to go work somewhere else I will definitely follow her.

I was quite pleased with the great service I received from Dr. Usha Surapaneni after visiting her at the MLK clinic on Swingle today. She provided me with a schedule of tests and even a weight loss class schedule to help correct several issues. I would highly recommend both Dr. Surapaneni and the MLK clinic - clean, organized, up to date facility with very reasonable waiting period and wonderful staff.
