Dr. Vahag Vartanian, MD

If I could give zero stars I would. This doctor is a joke. I was going to him for years and he abruptly changed my medication regimen without telling me and for no reason. I had to find out from my pharmacy and then call his office just to find out I'm not getting the medications that I need. That's not the only thing, he completely lacks any kind of empathy and seems to think all young people are junkies. He is definitely the kind of doctor who thinks he already knows everything and doesn't actually listen to patients. He spends about 15min with you and you are out the door. Oh, and do not ever expect his office to get back to you about medication questions or scheduling an appointment. Leaving a message does nothing, if you don't get somebody in person your question isn't getting through. The nurses are rude and also very conceited. It seems like being smug and overconfident is a theme throughout this entire office and group.

I have been seeing Dr. Vartanian for three years and find him to be a good listener. I think the meds I’m on are appropriate and he has been willing to make changes based on my feedback. I never have to wait, there’s plenty of close parking and the other staff I have contact with are very nice.

THIS MAN IS A FRAUD A FAKE A LIAR AND A SON OF DEVIL !!!! HE PUT MY GRANDMA ON MEDICATIONS THAT SHE IS ALLERGIC TOO WHEN HE IS ALREADY AWARE OF THAT FACT KNOWING THAT SHE COULD HAVE A REACTION AND PUT HER LIFE AT RISK!!! THEN HE TOLD HER THAT SHE IS PARANOID ABOUT HER ALLERGIES, WHICH IS FALSE. HE PUT HER ON A MEDICATION IM NOT SURE OF THE NAME BUT HE TOLD HER SHES NOT AT RISK FOR HEART ATTACK COME TO FIND OUT THAT THE NEW MEDS CAUSED HER TO HAVE A HEART ATTACK. SHE IS RECOVERING THANK GOODNESS. BUT THIS DR WILL NOT LISTEN DOES NOT CARE AND IS ICOMPETENT OF CARING!!! I TOLD HIM IM SUING HIM FOR FALSE MEDICAL CARE OR WHATEVER YOU WANNA CALL IT. I SWEAR HES A FAKE!!! WHY WOULD YOU WANNA PUT YOUR PATIENTS THAT YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO CARE ABOUT ON SOMETHING WHEN YOU KNOW GOOD AND WELL IT COULD WORSEN THEIR HEALTH?!!!!!

This Dr. is the most understanding of human beings. his medical advice is solid and actually builds a great relationship with his clients. I am not a new patient and can talk to him about my concerns without fear of judgement. I am a complicated person and this Dr. is a great fit.

Given that there is a shortage of psychiatrists in Racine/Milwaukee I find it easy to get in to see him. He has a subdued type of personality which I like. I think he's a good listener and has me on meds that are working!

Appointments always have to be early in the morning at my location and booked weeks in advance. I am always waiting at least 40 minutes. I feel he has trouble understanding me, though I'm very articulate. Doesn't even have me on the right medication. Is always pushing forward new sample drugs that my insurance will not cover. I feel like a test subject. I'm sitting in his office waiting for him now, again. I'm on the verge of simply walking out and finding a new doctor. Very unprofessional. Very disappointed. I have a life and schedule to keep as well.

I did not appreciate the false statements which were of a very serious nature. Who can hold doctors accountable for accuracy? I was shocked at the difficult position Dr. Vartanian placed me in and the lack of standards and concern for truth and patient rights.

Most efficient and professional doctor I've ever had with a doctor.
