Dr. Valerian Albert Gieri, MD

I was a patient for about 6 years. Already had thyroid issues. I kept complaining going back everytime. Same song and dance. Because I was a woman I was stressed. I moved, set myself up with a new primary in the new city. Within first 3 visits new doctor sent me for tests and bloodwork. Then I had a biopsy. I had thyroid cancer. Gieri kept trying to give me anti anxiety meds and just kept refilling my thyroid meds. Never listened to my complaints. If I was petty I could sue and could get some monetary compensation. He needs to get out of the field.

I went in to get treatment for a sore elbow. He made it worse with a bogus test where he stressed it too much. I now have a new problem! I have never had such a negative doctor like Gieri. If you're thinking of going to see him, don't.

I was a patient of Dr. Gieri for many years and always found him to be very attentive, caring and very well informed on new medications or procedures. While he's a very quiet mannered person, I NEVER found him to be rude or uncaring and am sorry he transferred out of the office on Montgomery.

Came in with stomach issues/esophagus. He gave me medicine told me to come back in 2 weeks. 2 weeks later asked me why I was here and tired to do the same stupid thing! Switched to Dr. Wong and got better treatment. Sadly he must have retired. Hoping to find a new Doctor but it won’t be this guy!!

What are these people talking about??? I found Dr. Geri to be genuinely interested in my health. I'm not big on narcotic medications and neither does he seem to be. I guess if you're looking for narcotic meds to make you feel no pain then Dr. Geri certainly isn't for you. However, if you want a conscientious and comprehensive approach to your well being--whatever your need may be--you can talk openly and honestly with Dr.Geri AND without the threat of judgement. I know first hand how busy their office is and how much those doctor's strive to stay on schedule....but, when I have questions all I have to do is tell him. He sits down in the chair, eye level and addresses each question I have in a manner that I can understand. Bedside manner is what you as the patient make it. He can be short and at times right to the point, but he also has a fantastic sense of humor and really does want to give you the time you need. For Pete's sake, ask for what you need. You are paying for the… service and have a right to ask for more details. I appreciate this man, Obama care hasn't made it easy on the medical community, try a little understanding and self advocacy, you'll get what you need from Dr. Geri. You rock Doc!!

Being a jerk only works if you're a brilliant doctor a la Hugh Laurie on House. Let's keep in mind House was a fictional character. Gieri is a smart man, but lacks bedside manner and makes patients feel like a number.

Extremely rude ., being a physician myself I was astounded at his bedside manner !!waste of time !!

Dr.Gieri was the only one available for my sinus problem that day. I had not seen him before and he is not my regular doctor. Was made to wait a while in the room and the visit was just a short one and hopefully the only one with him ever. He didn't really show a genuine interest in my condition and asked me what he should precribe me and more strange questions. The prescription had not been called in to my drugstore and I had to call,wait and return again after a few hours before it was all straightened out by the office/nurses. They are not to blame but this doctor is.

I am so mad at myself for choosing him as my PC, he is the rudest person I have ever met ,for being a doctor. Didn't they teach you how to treat your patients. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT .I'm looking for another PC right now one who has respect for his clients and does not treat them like they are bothering him when they go to be seen. SHAME ON YOU GIERIE I DON'T EVEN CONSIDER YOU A DOCTOR. YOU GET A BIG FAT F. I COULD NOT SUBMIT THIS UNTILL I GAVE YOU A STAR ,SO I HAD TO GIVE YOU 1 WHICH YOU DON'T DESERVE.

Worst doctor I have ever been to. Did not listen to my explanation of ongoing problem. did not review medical records from other doctors at same clinic. Approached my concerns as "what do you want me to do? The other doctors couldn't help you" and literally said words to this effect. Prescribed me one medication. Couldn't tell me the difference between it and another medication I had been given. When I got to pharmacy it turns out this was the exact same medication the other doctor in the clinic had given me 4 weeks prior that didn't work. He couldn't even be bothered to review what that doctor had done.
