My 2 year old child broke out in a rash. First rash ever and they're my first child. I panicked and called the doctor. They took us in on the same day which was great. She looked at my child, said it was a viral rash and said to go home and they'll be fine. I asked questions...she then said, "fine, i'll look at their throat, if it's red they definitely haves a virus." She looked at it and said "yep, virus. nothing you can do." I left feeling uneasy and called a different doctor the same day. We went to the other doctor and the difference was NIGHT AND DAY. The other doctor assessed my child's entire body, educated us thoroughly, TOOK A CULTURE, and was professional throughout! The new doctor said it could have been strep, and with strep you NEED a culture because it requires antibiotics! Thank the Lord it wasn't strep, but if it was, and I didn't go to the new doctor, my child could have had a serious complication. I'm glad I stuck with my gut and extremely grateful we found a new… fantastic doctor. I won't say any of my personal opinions of Dr. Numssen, just the medical facts of what happened at my child's appointment.

She misdiagnosed my daughter,and she ended up being hospitalized for 3 days. She did not prescribe the correct antibiotics, did not follow up with us, did not educate us, and a culture that should have taken 48 hours, took 5 days!! This doctor caused my child's illness to be a serious life threatning condition!
