Dr. Vanna M Jackson has the following 1 specialty
A pediatrician is a doctor who specializes in the regular care of children, as well as the diagnosis and treatment of illness in children. Young patients are often more complicated to treat because they are still growing and developing.
While pediatricians may sub-specialize in specific therapy areas like oncology, surgery, ophthalmology, and anesthesiology, in general, pediatricians provide services like vaccinations, health exams, and treatment of common ailments and injuries. In addition, pediatricians are trained to handle the complex emotional and behavioral issues faced by children, especially during puberty.
Pediatricians normally see their patients from birth until the age of 18, although some may agree to treat patients into their early 20s, if requested.

Good doctor, badly managed office / practice. She is knowledgeable and communicates forthrightly, when you *finally* get to see her. Expect an annual exam to take more than two hours. We've been forgotten in the exam rooms more than three significant times (30-50 minutes), and might have been longer if we hadn't stepped out into the hall and asked what was going on... Her blunt communications style is useful in some cases, hurtful and demeaning at other times. She cares a lot about her patients, but is not always sympathetic with parents.
Dr. Jackson is the pediatrician for my 9 year old and 3 year old daughters. She has always been nice and courteous. When my 3 year was born, she had some medical issues. Dr. Jackson would surprisingly follow-up with me to make sure I went to the recommended specialist and wanted to know their recommendations. Most of the times I come in for an appointment, they see me within 5-10 min. Sometimes, I may be late, and I have to wait a few minutes longer (understandably). Overall, Dr. Jackson is a great doctor who care about her patients.
This doctor and there office should be ashamed of their practices. I have never seen more unprofessional setting in my life from the disorganization the front desk staff and the disorganization and poor time management of the doctor. I picked Dr. Jackson at the recommendation of one of her previous colleagues HIGH recommendation. My children and I just moved in from Mass I called and got an appointment right away and I should have know something was up when they told me there was NO male Dr taking new patients. We went to our first appointment we had and hour wait time in the room and boy did she alienate my 14 yo daughter. She has no delivery or bedside manner at all. I wish I could have given her 0 stars for that. She then had her staff give my child the vison and hearing test required for entrance in school. But her plan of care for my was great and exactly what I was looking for. Fast forward to our follow up... I reluctantly take my child back a few weeks later and have school forms for sports filled out but they never recorded the vision and hearing screening from the initial visit and the doctor refused to sign my child form her staff redid the screenings. Come to find out not only did I get a billed for the vision and hearing screening and not for the follow up visit because they coded the visit wrong. To top it all off the office tried to make me pay for the records I had transferred from Mass (FOR FREE)to be transferred directly to another practice. WHAT A JOKE!!! NEVER TAKING MY KID BACK!!!
I completely agree with the reviewer who says the doctor can't handle her bad days. I took my daughter for an issue related to her periods. She was in a swim team, needed to use tampons, but was not ready to do so. I needed some advice. I heard the Doctor tell the nurse outside that this was stupid and she won't do it. When she came in, she rudely told me that it was not her job to do this. She could have simply given some advice and referred us to a gynecologist. Instead she chose to be rude and obnoxious. She was even rude to my 11 year old daughter. She kept telling her "keep your feet down. I don't want to get banged on my head". Apparently, some kid banged on her head and so she decided to take out her anger on my daughter. I didn't expect this treatment from my kid's pediatrician of 10 years. I was fighting back my tears as I exited the office from all the insults this woman threw at us. I'll be sure to change the pediatrician for the next visit.
Dr. Jackson is a good doctor however, she has a bad attitude. If Dr. Jackson is having a bad day, she tends to take it out on her staff and the patients can feel the tension in the office. My daughter was a patient of hers for about 5 years and although we were satisfied with the care our daughter was given, we decided to take our business elsewhere after the third incident with rude attitude/behavior towards us. I don't think it was personal, but I don't like the way she seem to not handle her bad days
