Dr. Vedapurisan Viswanathan, MD

I have been a patient of Dr. Nathan (Viswanathan) in excess of 25 years... He has also taken care of both my wife and younger daughter during this timeframe... all done with a superb knowledge of his gastroenterology specialty; an excellent "bedside/chairside" manner; and warm attentiveness to his patients. Having the hereditary misfortune requiring Colonoscopes every 5 years, I have seen him in both office and operating room settings and learned to trust and respect his abilities under all circumstances. Throughout this time, I have recommended him to numerous friends and relatives; something I wouldn't do if I didn't think he were capable. One of the best doctors that I have seen in my 75 years.

He is one of those rare species of doctors who wholly cares for his patient's welfare. Such is his concern that I developed confidence and zeal for life all these years of cancer survival.

I was called for a follow up visit - they encouraged me to make the appointment. I showed up 15 minutes early and was not escorted to the examination room for over 1.5 hours wherein I waited longer. I complained and then left. Apparently the doctor thinks his time/pay is more important than mine.
