Dr. Velusamy Kailasam, MD

Dr. Vel Kailasam joined Northern Colorado Allergy & Asthma Clinic in 1985 and is board certified by the American Board of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Kailasam received his medical degree and completed a residency in dermatology at the University of Madras, India. Upon moving to Flint, Michigan, he completed a residency was board certified in Internal Medicine. He then completed a fellowship in allergy and asthma at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Dr. Kailasam treats pediatric and adult patients with allergies and asthma as well as patients with various skin problems such as eczema, hives, acne, and rosacea.

Dr. Kailasam is a Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology. He is also a member of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, Colorado Allergy Society and the Colorado Medical Society. He is also an affiliate member of the American Academy of Dermatology.

In his free time, Dr. …Kailasam enjoys spending time with his family and enjoys photography, and tennis. He is working to improve his fluency in Spanish and volunteers at the Monfort Children’s Clinic and Sunrise Clinic in Greeley, and Salud Clinic in Fort Morgan to serve underprivileged pediatric patients. He has worked with the Rotary Club to conduct asthma camps for needy patients in India. Dr. Kailasam believes in providing the best quality of care to his patients with allergy, immunological, and dermatological problems.
