Dr. Vernon Rowe III, MD

I saw Dr. Rowe for the first time last week. They got me in the day after I called, which is amazing. Everyone from the receptionist, PA, scheduler, and Xray tech were all professional, polite, and helpful. Dr. Rowe did a much more extensive exam than the other 2 neurologists I have seen. in fact, one didn't even look at my MRI before telling me what he thought was wrong! But Dr. Rowe looked closely at my MRI, and did a thorough history. I am hopeful that I will finally get a dx here.

Stay away from Vernon Rowe. He is not respectful of your time, he has zero bedside manner, and he will push many tests...all done at his clinic. After taking your money, he will send you to his nurse, who is OK, but who is not a neurologist and seems to think he is. Thank goodness I found someone else to take care of me! A world of difference. I have MS and need a competent, caring physician. The Rowe office staff is awful.

I had every test there was to determine if I had Alzheimer's. They told me I did have Alzheimer's and they asked if I would go into a drug study. I originally said yes, but changed my mind. Thank goodness I did. I went to KU Med Center to get a second opinion and was told I did not have Alzheimer's. So for 2 months I knew I was going to die of Alzheimer's and then found out I wasn't. I was so angry, but have let it go and am happy that I don't have the disease. Don't go here!

I could write a book about what didn't go right at this place. Unhappy, rude staff. Zero communication, won't return phone calls, lies about how they are better than the Hospital and you can save mone. Right. Wrong. My Hospital won't engage in ordering unnecessary testing. Read through all the comments. See a pattern ? Dubious billing scheme oriented medical practice. You can't give less than 1 star rating if I could, negative 5 stars would sum up my experience. Go somewhere else.

If you are interested in doing a sleep study, which is rigged, he's the man to go to. He will automatically request you do a sleep study, which is preformed in office location. You will NOT pass the sleep study as the beds are as hard as a rock, the staff talks non-stop throughout the night, it's 60 degrees so you freeze, etc. He will call you back within a week putting you on the machine for sleep apnea, even though the tests don't justify it. He's not interested in you as a patient. His real skill is his knowledge on running up your insurance and once you've maxed out, he won't see you until the following year. There's other doctors who care more and will actually help you not harm you.

I left three messages over a week trying to schedule an appointment . Never heard back so maybe this place is not in business anymore ? I got my neurology consultation scheduled with another provider same day I called.

Called to schedule an appointment with the doctor and Rose answered. She's a bitter, condescending, unprofessional, person She has no phone etiquette. She can be extremely rude and it's not acceptable! Reading the comments, I see I'm not the only one that feels Rose needs to be put in the trash with the rest of the garbage. She's just too rude!

I went to RNI for Neuropathic Pain from burn scars. I was wanting to see a Neurologist Psychologist. They would not even talk with me about my problems, nor did they let me see a Neurologist Psychologist. They quickly scheduled me for thousands of dollars of tests for problems I did not have. This was within the week, so I did not realize what was going on until it was too late. Their sleep study was a horrible nightmare. I do not have any sleep problems. And still they tried to sell me one of the sleep apnea devices afterwards based on a very poorly done sleep study. They falsified my initial visit report, and refused to correct it when I emailed them about it twice. This was not an oversight, it was blatant and obvious fraud. They charged all this my Medicare and Medigap insurance. I filed a fraud complaint with Medicare. I never got any help and all with my problem. They just made it worse because now I'm so angry.

I appreciate the attention to detail Dr Rowe's team has shown me. Dr Rowe is high on the list of Dr's the Multiple Sclerosis Office in Kansas City prints out for patients. This list gives the patient access to Nuerologist who specialize in MS, based on how far you're willing to drive, or male or female Dr, there are many options. Once I met Dr Rowe, I have stayed with him, but now drive 2 1/2 hours to see him. I trust my life with his team.

Basically all he was about was not helping me as a patient, never listened to what I had to say, kept suggesting test after test when I was initially going in for migraines! Tells me it's probably caused from my narrow airway then wanted to do a sleep study after all the prior expensive MRI's & other testing! Met my deductible but they are still finding ways to drain my Heath savings account! Unbelievable!! Never went back!
