I agree with the Sept. 14, 2024 review warning women to be careful with this doctor and always make sure a female nurse is present. He made me feel very uncomfortable and creeped out so it makes sense another patient had a similar experience. He is passive aggressive fake as well as inattentive when complications arise.

Ladies, please be careful with this doctor. He me feel very uncomfortable. Make sure a female nurse assistant is always present in the exam room.

Dr Douek is by far of the best doctors I’ve ever had and my pregnancy/delivery went as smooth as possible. Just know that he’s constantly giving his patients the full attention they need which more often than not leads to his practice seeing appointment delays.

Dr. Douek is very caring. He was with me every step of the way during labor, which was very long. He went above and beyond to deliver the best care. Highly recommend!!

Dr Douek is the best OBGYN around. He is knowledgeable and compassionate. He does everything and more for his patients in order to provide the best care possible. Each patient get individualized attention and birthing plan according to their own needs. Dr Douek is respectful of patients wants and wishes while also making sure they are safe and medically informed. NYU is also a great place to deliver, which is a plus when seeing him. You might wait at the office, but it will be well worth it!

Dr. Douek is truly an amazing physician and kind individual. He is extremely knowledgeable. He is very patient with his patients and spends lots of time answering every single one of their questions. Disregard all negative reviews this doctor is the most caring and compassionate one I’ve ever met. I would choose him to deliver my children time and time again.

The doctor is amazing and devoted. He helped me resolve fertility issues, which resulted in pregnancy within a short time. Hes amazingly patient and knowledgeable and really wants the best for his patients. his office staff is also extremely sweet and treat you like you count and not like another number. Theres a very big downside, though. You always wait for hours upon hours in the waiting room. The schedule there basically is that there is no schedule. I understand that the doctor is a one man band, covering the office and the hospital on his own - which is impossible to do since you can only be in 1 place at a time. (After I delivered at 2:00 AM, my husband met the doctor in the patient lounge drinking a coffee. He told him, "your wife was the first tonight, I have 2 patients in L&D, and if no emergencies come up, i will be in the office 11:00 in the morning. I basically never sleep") I beleive he has to partner up with someone to get the office running more efficiently and… predictably.

Dr. Douek is wonderful. His impeccable instincts and fantastic bedside manner make him one of the best in his field. I am forever grateful for his medical knowledge and caring demeanor. I have been using him for over 10 years. He respected my choices and was with me emotionally every step of my labor. His covering physicians, nurses and office staff are wonderful as well.

First and foremost, the doctor is incompent. He misread medical results that were right in front of him, insisting they said one thing when they clearly said the opposite. Basically, if you have any kind of special requirement, don't use him. If you'd probably be just as fine squatting in a field to give birth, it appears all he'd be qualified for considering he seems mystified by anything else. Be prepared to be threatened with a C-section or something like that. That's how he operates medical care- with threats. Secondary- The office staff is also incompetent. When you get an appointment, be prepared to wait 3 hours past your appointment time. Longer if you need an ultrasound. If you need medical records, even for a referral that he's given you- it will take then months to get their act together. Notwithstanding pregnancy is very time sensitive. Oh, and often they don't even do referrals and suggest you find a doctor on your own. Thirdly- They send you out for… basically every test or procedure. Even blood tests and urine cultures are done externally. This means that you'll be lucky to get a call back about something wrong within three weeks. You'll be walking around with something wrong, but by the time they get their documents and act together- it'll be a month. So that's it. If you want a doctor that's at best as useful as a webmd page, and often quite a bit less this guy is for you!
