Dr. Victor Giamos attended St. John’s University where he graduated as a Doctor of Pharmacy. He went on to study medicine at State University of New York at Buffalo. Dr. Giamos completed a residency preliminary year of internal medicine at New York Medical College, Richmond University Medical Center. He continued his ophthalmology training at Nassau University Medical Center, where he was appointed chief resident during his senior year in 2012. Dr. Giamos also completed a two-month ophthalmology surgical rotation at Columbia University-Harkness Eye Institute in 2012. He has spent several years with a multi-specialty eye practice as a medical and surgical ophthalmologist in Long Island, New York. Dr. Victor Giamos has received many awards including: Department of Internal Medicine Distinguished Service Award in 2009 and Commitment to Excellence Award in 2009. Dr. Giamos is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Medical Association, the International Society of Refractive Surgery, and the Hellenic Medical Society of New York. Dr. Victor Giamos is fluent in English, Greek, and Spanish.
