OrthoVirginia has consistently failed in their duty to provide timely, accessible care due to relying solely on a patient portal for communication—despite knowing I was not actively using it and had ongoing, serious issues. They’re now trying to place the blame for missed appointments and delays on me, even though I’ve been asking for treatment for the same hip issue for three years. Their failure to follow up properly and offer alternative communication methods has likely made the damage permanent. I initially sought care with OrthoVirginia for a hip injury that has caused me chronic pain and limited mobility. Over the past three years, I’ve repeatedly reached out and attempted to move forward with treatment. Instead of receiving consistent scheduling, updates, or direct calls, I’ve been told to “check the portal”—which I’ve made clear was not a reliable way to reach me, especially for urgent medical coordination. Because they defaulted to this impersonal and inadequate system, I… missed key updates and appointments I wasn’t aware of. Now that the condition has worsened, they’re shifting the responsibility onto me. I’ve done everything I can to get help. I’m a disabled veteran who depends on accessible, proactive communication. What I got from OrthoVirginia was medical neglect masked as bureaucratic process. Desired Resolution: • Formal acknowledgment of their failure to use proper communication practices • A full review of my case history and a written apology • A recommendation for follow-up or alternate care if they will not treat me • Internal policy change for communication methods with patients, especially those with disabilities I’m not just angry—I’m injured. And I’m tired of being treated like I’m the problem when they did nothing to solve it. You failed me in every possible way and now you’re trying to blame it on me that’s classless.

Dr Tseng is a Great Doctor with very good bedside manners. He is such a good doctor that I followed him from one practice to another.
