Dr. Victor Emmanuel Ylagan, MD

Dr. Ylagan is the best neurologist II have seen in the Danbury area. After being treated so badly in the big practice in the area, I came here and the difference was like night and day. The appointment went well and he was very present (not staring at his computer screen like the other neurology office), he assessed my parent's condition quickly, was very pleasant, kind, understanding and gave us information we could work with---I was very grateful that we were all treated like human beings in Dr. Ylagan's office. Thank you.

I would recommend Dr. Ylagan to anyone seeking quality help by a neurologist. After the circus act of a local huge practice and all their unnecessary testing and making doctor appointments only to be shown a nurse of PA, Dr. Ylagan actually cares about quality and not ripping patients off. Unlike my horrible experiences at a group practice, money is not first and foremost in his mind. It is not his aim to inconvenience the patient but to treat them humanely and with consideration to their circumstances. I found him patient and kind.He actually returned phone calls also.

Dr. Ylagan was a much needed breath of fresh air after how my parent and I were treated at the huge neurology office in Danbury. He was the most competent neurologist I took my parent to and also, by far, the kindest and most compassionate. He did not order all the unnecessary tests that the big office of neurologists ordered and he actually cared and returned phone calls. I have to add that his office staff reflects him and they could not be kinder, more professional or understanding. The big neurology office has a staff that reflects those doctors and I would urge anyone seeking excellent, attentive care to see Dr. Ylagan in Danbury. He is a competent, caring doctor and will steer you in the right direction. I am grateful for my experience with him after the horrors of the huge "practice' who only made life harder. Thank you Dr. Ylagan for your wisdom, understanding and grace. You restore my faith in neurologists and treated us as human beings.

The secretary is the rudest nastiest woman in the world. I’ve heard this from multiple patients to go there, Experienced it for myself firsthand could not believe the way I was treated! She even lied to try to cover her self. The doctor on the other hand is amazing That’s a shame the practice is run by such horrible staff members

when he spoke with my surgeon he coward and changed my report to can't find anything wrong... wimp

My experience with Dr. Yglan has been very positive. He is thorough and shows concern for the patient and their family. He has asked to speak with me (family member) on the phone several times. He is very understanding and really cares.

Sometimes a phone call is all that's necessary. This doctor doesn't reply to messages and doesn't return calls. No matter how good he may be, if a patient is unable to communicate with him, the doc is useless.

Dr. Ylagan and his staff is the best pediatric neurologist in the area. He went above and beyond the call of duty to help my daughter. Even as I made our first appointment, he saw her immediately and went out of his way to try and find a cure for her. Now as my neurologist, he does the same. I couldn't ask for a better doctor.

Rude staff !!! front desk is extremely rude and cold and to call for a RX refill Is so confussing. They don't have a clue about what the other is doing. They need a set protocol for everyone to follow. And a little compassion.

I have MS - and he pegged me the second I walked in the door, but didn't say anything and got me in for tests, etc. When I first saw him, my primary Dr. called him at 4PM on the Friday before labor day, 2 others turned me down. Dr. Ylagan was going away for the weekend and still saw me that day AND made an MRI appt and lumbar puncture on Monday. On my way out I saw the golf clubs in his car. However was a little surprised when I lster burst into tears at the diagnosis. He also let me do a payment plan. Is kind of "down to business" but very pleasant. I saw him the first year he was practicing and still do for migraines. I have recommended him to many people, most MS patients take months to years to be diagnosed - he only took a week, he knows his stuff!
