I have been a patient of Dr Jain for close to two years now, just the occasional physical appointment, flu shot, etc. Upon seeing her the first time, she was ok, not the best, but certainly the not worst doctor I had ever seen. I believe I saw her two more time in the course of the past year, with the same thoughts. I was not blown away with her so at one point when calling to make an appointment I asked to see a different doctor within that practice, as every office I have ever been to allows you to do. I was told that I had to get written permission from Dr. Jane to see a different doctor in that practice. First off, what?! I tried to switch practices, but could not find another family doctor in Grove City that was accepting new patients. When it was time for me to get my yearly physical appointment I called to schedule an appointment, explained to the lady who answered the phone that I was wanting a physical exam, a flu shot, and had a few random health questions that had… popped up over the course of the past year. They got me in the very next day, and the lady on the phone was polite. I have two small children, and anyone who has every been a parent knows that toting two small kids to a doctors appointment in no easy task. Dr Jain's nurse was polite and friendly, no problem with the other staff members that I spoke with. Upon Dr. Jain entering the room she wanted to talk about my cold symptoms, which I did not have, and told me that I could not get the flu shot because I had a cold. Now mind you, I was at the doctors for a physical, and was not sick at all. So maybe she mixed my chart up, no big deal. She proceeded to take my vitals, say nothing, and begin typing into the computer. I asked if I could ask a few questions, and she ignored me. Again, maybe she didn't hear me, no big deal. I tried to compliment her sweater, make light small talk...nothing in response, NOTHING! At this point I was just really confused. When she paused for a moment I, said that I had a few more questions that I would like to ask since I was here for my yearly physical. Her response was that I needed to make another appointment for more than one "issue" and that she would only address my biggest concern. I told her that i hadn't been to the doctor in a year, was healthy, but had a few things that I had written down over the course of the year that I wanted to mention to her, my doctor, so that she could advise/explain/etc. to me. I even asked her if I had 5 questions would I need to make 5 different appointments, and she said yes. I would also like to add that my children were completely occupied the entire time and literally didn't make a sound, so at one point I thought maybe she was annoyed that my children were there, but had to dismiss that thought because they were so quiet that you wouldn't have known they were in the room. Upon her telling me that she would not answer my questions, I was beyond shocked at her bedside manner as a doctor, empathy for other humans, and her general rude attitude towards me. Now I could see a doctor getting annoyed with a patient and saying that there was no time if i was in there every week for a different problem, but again, I had not been there in a year. Anyways, long story short, I was appalled at how Dr. Jain treated me as her patient, and when I told her this, she shrugged and literally said "OK". I will not ever be returning to see her again, and i do not recommend that ANYONE ever see her. I highly suggest NO one see Dr. Jain for any reason, this last physical appointment was by far the worst experience I have ever had with a doctor in my life, hands down.
