Dr. Vik Mali is a native to the area, growing up a mile from the office. After graduating from high school in Troy, his undergraduate education at Kalamazoo College led him to research opportunities at the National Institutes of Health and the University of Michigan. After college, he attended Michigan State University's College of Human Medicine and later Nationwide Children's Hospital/Ohio State University's pediatric residency program. After being away for a dozen years, "Dr. Vik" returned home to join his father's solo practice in 1999. Five years later, he was appointed to Chief of Pediatrics at William Beaumont Hospital - Troy, a role he served in until the end of 2009. Dr. Vik is also a founding board member of the Beaumont Physicians' Organization. Dr. Vik has led the growth of the practice from one physician to six with two nurse practitioners, all while adhering to his goal of preserving the doctor-patient relationship. Dr. Vik is married with two children. When he is home, …he finds himself on the sidelines of his two kids' travel soccer teams. In his free time, he enjoys tennis and playing with electronic gadgets.

Dr. Vik is the most thorough and caring doctor! My kids have been his patients for years, and I would never chose a different practice. He never rushes us, he listens to our concerns and addresses all of them! There have been many moments that have caused me such worry ! He understands that worry, and he treats my kids as if they were his family! I never second guess his treatment and advice. He is simply the best, and Beaumont should be proud and grateful to have him on staff!

We see Dr. Vik regularly for my son's ADHD. He always takes his time and answers every question. He is the best.

As a dentist, he has all of the qualities you want in your doctor. A doctor feels a clock ticking throughout the day...we hate making patients wait. He never gives you that impression and will always answer all of your questions thoroughly. He is very knowledgeable about medicine and gives great referrals.

Dr Vik is our pediatrician for both kids William and Brooke. You cannot possibly ask for a more caring and compassionate doctor. He truly knows how the parents feel when their children are sick. We thank god for his knowledge everyday.
