Dr. Vinay Pampati, DO

This was the best new doctor I have seen in years except for Dr. he is also amazing. Dr. Pampati was excellent, talking with me and helping me with my bad shoulder. He showed me different exercises to do and he seems genuinely caring. I wish he did knees I would come back for knee issues. We need more doctors like him.

I wish I could've received better service today. I've seen Dr. Pampati a few years ago when he was on the other side of the street across from my primary care physician . The service wasn't the best today and I kind of felt that it was going to be an issue when I walked in. Telephone constantly ringing. It's three women at the front desk the one lady answers a call and she places them on hold. Then the other phone rings and the lady looked at it and said no I don't wanna talk today. First of all that's rude! Your first impression is your last impression I'm new to the office I should've never seen that. I sign in and have a seat I was called to the back had my vitals done and I was told that someone will be in shortly. I had to ask the man about my bp I guess he's Dr. Pampati's assistant. He tells me he's going to step out and for me to change into the shorts so I can get an X-ray. I get an X-ray he basically tells me my knee looks fine it's something a little off I forget what he… actually said but the paper noise could be a result from me dealing with this for such a long time. And what all I have done to treat my pain. I tell him and he asked me about a brace. I tell him I was never prescribed one. So he tells me he's going to prescribe me one and I can't get the prescription from the front desk. And I need to have a mri and after I get that done call back and schedule another appointment. I go to the desk the receptionist the African American lady she hands me the paperwork and ask me where was I going for the mri I replied that idk which ever one could get me in the fastest. So then I ask about the prescription for the brace because it's on a bensons pad I asked her do I need to go there and she said no any medical supply. So I went to the one across the parking lot at Henry Ford Macomb(shot out to there found ladies they gave me excellent service) the you lady that helped me said nothing was in my chart from the visit and knee pain isn't the proper diagnosis for a knee brace and insurance doesn't cover the neoprene brace it has to be the one with brackets and asked me to call them. I called they never answered so it was transferred to the 23 mile location. So when they answered they transferred me back. I finally get them on the phone. They say I need to speak with Tiffany they'll see if they can find her. And say she must be with a patient they will send me to her voicemail I tell them no I'm about to walk back over there. I just left and I'm trying to get the brace now. So I ended up speaking with the rude African American lady batting her eyes and getting smart I'm trying to tell her that the people at the medical supply would like an explanation of the prescription and they can't find anything in the chart. She tells me well he's still in clinicals so they won't be available until he's done. But she's going to ask him. She comes back and tells me that this is the brace he wanted and he will not prescribe the other one. And maybe I should try another location. So I tell her that's the reason I asked you. And her reply is well I don't know that just a what we use to write it on. So I walk out and call bensons and the lady tells me that nobody covers the neoprene knee brace. Maybe they should educate their staff as to something so simple and also teach them how to actively communicate with their new patients. I'm considering going out my way and trying the 23 mile location for my next visit.

Dr. Pampati is very kind, sincere, compassionate, knowledgeable, caring, respectful and informative. The best "bedside" manners of any doctor I have seen in a long time. Very genuine doctor who makes me feel very c
