Dr. Vinod Malik MD

This man must hate his life. He's an awfu lDOCTOR. Worst I've ever seen., not there to help, but to ridicule you. . Matter of fact he told me if i was in so much pain why don't I go tho the ER. I asked him what is he here for then? I thought for people to stay out iif the ER. It wasn't a pleasant experience. Id rather have pain for the rest of my life, then to ever see him ever again. The only reason i gave 1 star is because you have to to write this. Dont go to him.

I gave Dr. Malik one star only because I could not go lower. Before moving to Ormond Beach I received several Nerve Block and Epidural Steroid Injections for back pain with a Doctor in Virginia with fantastic results. But my experience Dr. Malik has been all bad. But this time has been even worse. I requested a referral from my primary Doctor on Nov. 27th and was told Dr. Malik's office would call me to set up an appointment. I did not hear from them until 2nd week in Jan.(7 weeks) and appointment was given for 2nd week in Feb.(4-weeks) at which time Dr. Malik spent three minutes with me and went out of the room. Later a staff member told me I would need an MRI and they would schedule that for me after approval from my insurance company which would take two weeks and then they would also set up an appointment for treatment. Late Feb. I called twice and got the runaround saying the insurance company had not given approval (which is a lie). It is now the first week in Mar. and… still have no appointment for treatment. This makes it over three months. I will not go back, I am going to find another Doctor. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND DR. MALIK TO MY WORST ENEMY.

After repeatedly complaining to several doctors in this pain management group that I was getting no relief from the morphine pain pump that was installed in 2016, I saw Dr. Malik to evaluate and see if there was a catheter or pump problem itself. After failing to be able to withdraw any fluid at the pump area, he said," So, your pump is not working." "I know."..."When did you first notice it was not working?" . "Since it was put in...I have been telling everyone this for a year, and no one believes me...they kept upping the morphine into it, and decreasing my pills, so I have been in more pain than before this thing!" He then turned and walked out, said nothing further, no empathy or explanations, or what to do about it...leaving me on the table with the pump rep. Dr. never came back in. Heard him say in the hallway, "Bill Florida Health Care for a pump adjustment so I can get paid for something." On to the next room. Poor Rep got stuck with the situation and said the Dr.… would operate and wanted me to sign forms right then. NOT ON MY LIFE.

He needs to go back to school and learn ALL aspects of being a doctor. That man made me went to rock bottom, because of withdrawal now I know what an addict goes thru with withdrawal. Upon till now I am not back to myself, but with the help of the Lord I am taking it one day at a time. For bedside manner I wish there was a zero.

I've been dealing with pain for many years (20) I have MRI's to prove. Lost my pain mgmt. Doctor after 8 yrs.His PA was great she completely understood and was going to continue my scripts along with injections, until he entered the room and seen whom my previous Dr was. Malik stripped me of all my medications that I've been on for years. (He thinks he's God) I'm all for the injections, but he is the only one that EVER did it without using LIDOCAINE first to numb the area, being a nurse I know protocol. He yelled at me while I was lying on the table, It was very painful and I cried out, He stopped the procedure and walked out. I honestly think he did it on purpose for he didn't like my previous Doctor. I WILL NEVER ADVISE ANYONE TO GO TO HIM!!!!!! . I wouldn't send my worse enemy to this so called Dr.

This is horrible place!! You only see Dr Malik when you get an injection because you have to follow up with his horrible mean ARNP who will roll her eyes at you, not listen or even care what is wrong with you!

Did nothing for my pain

This place is terrible they call you thirty minutes before appointment to cancel cause they only. Have one doc to see new patient

Don't see Lorie his PA she does not want to help and she pressures you to get a pain pump or she cuts of your med.s and she did the same thing to my friend so its not just me and we both have different issues mine is my back.

It is tragic how patients are treated these days. I was happy to be seen by the ARNP rather than Dr Malik ( how ever billed as if seen by Dr) because most of us nurses just are better educated to listen to patients and custumizing treatment plans for the individual patient rather than trying to fit someone into a box that if they do not fit rid themselves of the patient. After the first visit with the Nurse I was excited because she had some other ideas for treatment rather then throwing the same pills at me that were not controlling my chronic pain for years the office and Dr Malik was recommended by the ARNP I had been seeing in south Florida having moved up here couldn't make the trips south anymore.( I felt as though I was heard) I gave her my history along with list of medications. I made my next appointment as requested by her to get scripts. And start on new plan of care. I made sure all my old records had been transferred from my pain specilist and specilist treating my… illness to avoid anymore delays in treatment and running out of medication for the month. Calling again the morning of my Friday afternoon appointment to make sure they had recived everything they needed. I was told " everything was good and to come in as planned. After paying for the second appointment I was told that Dr will not treat me because of a medication perscribed to me in the past. When I went from my primary to a pain specialist it was recomended by one of my DRs that I go to a MD to get a script for this medication to prevent severe withdrawal symptoms changing meds while I attepted other treatments. The Nurse P. Could not give me a reason that Dr Malik would not treat anyone that has used this medication nor could she tell me a time frame till they could/would treat me. I tried to explain to her that they were recomended to me and I was hopeful after the first visit that I could get better results using less medications. She also told me that my records had not all arrived and were to large to e-mail so they were being mailed to them she had not looked at any of my records from my specialists nor were they interested in my needs or history. What they did do was give me a name of another Dr that when I had read review would not send my worst enemy to. So there I was after paying two appointments with a Dr who never saw me just judged me and told me to bugger off. A Call to let me know they were not going to treat me would have helped.Now here I am looking for another Dr in the area, having canceled my appointment with my previous Dr and changed my insurance to one that Dr Malik takes. Having only had two days left of my medication I have no way to wean myself off the two types of medication perscribed to me. Abruptly stopping either med groups will cause severe side effects and possible death. I am too sick and weak to physically tolerant this (the reason my Dr had me go on the med. )in the first place. sorry for the length of this review. If I had done this review after my first visit it would have been great. Now i am even more steps backwards in regards to my health and would rate them as negative. After all my years of nursing I see the incredible growth of medical technology and possibilities but it is an embarrassment to have been a part of a field that treats people in such inhuman way. I wish that I could end with a Drs name that could truly help you.ð???
