Dr. Virlyn Lewis Bishop, MD

Have been a patient of Dr Bishop for several years. He is an amazing find for my pain. He and his staff seem to be of the same mind to be kind and helpful to their patients. He has treated my spine in several areas and recently my neck. The ablation he performed on my lower spine kept me pain free for 9 months. I am always assured of a visit and way to help me relieve pain. I am grateful and honored to call him my doctor.

I can’t even believe how disrespectful this doctor was to me. As my mouth still is on the floor, I have waited months to write the review just so I wouldn’t be as judgmental as this pompous A**. Even if he were the best doctor in the entire universe, I wouldn’t send my worse enemy to him and am sure his own staff fears his immature outrageous rage. At this point it doesn’t matter about me, it matters only about him. I was now waiting for a new patient scheduled appointment for over 45 minutes in a room, maybe a nurse came in and asked questions, she rolled her eyes, after waiting what seemed like 30 more minutes... a masked man came barging in and yelling at me he would not ever take me as a patient, he didn’t care who recommended him, he didn’t care why, this went on as he belittled a person who needed help finding a non drug way to get through pain close to her home. Until her surgery. He stormed and yelled, never ever letting the person, (me) speak at all, it was this doctor. He… never examined me, never touched in anyway, and once he got off his soap box, he left and slammed the exam room door! No one came in and said please leave, he doesn’t want you or please leave we will Bill you $1000 in one day! Which I am warning you, I called my Insurance company, If you go in the exam room, they will and legally can bill you! Ethically, he should know I came home and made notes of everything that was said to me. I am letting the board decide what to do with a pain doctor with a God complex!

My greatest hope is that Dr. Bishop will be able to stay in this profession where he hears nothing but stories of pain and suffering and still be able to walk in and out of the room with that warm smile and hand shake. Yes, he actually touches you! If you have the great fortune of becoming his patient you will be back to give him a 5 as well.

Dr. Bishop is a wonderful doctor!! I have found that he and his staff care very much about the patients that are seen in their offices. I always enjoy my visits...visiting with Dr. Bishop, his nurse, and the office staff.
