Dr. Vivian Kathleen Chou, MD

The office staff is completely incompetent. I am a new patient and found Dr. Chou on my insurance company's website. When I made an appointment several weeks ago they told me that they take my insurance. Today I went for my appointment and filled out the preliminary paper work. When I handed them my insurance card they told me that they do NOT take my insurance, so I left. I called the insurance company right away. The insurance company called Dr. Chou's office while I waited on hold. Turns out that Dr. Chou dropped them and hadn't informed them or me. What a waste of time, not just today but waiting weeks for an appointment only to be turned away. This is so inconsiderate and unprofessional; it shows a lack of competence and caring for their patients.

Dr. Chou and staff have always been great. I Have been going to their office for 13 years and have had nothing but great professional, excellent, treatment! Dr. Chou has also delivered two of my children. Again, a great experience! I was referred by friends and have referred friends and we all love the office! I have never seen them upset by children being brought in. I have never experience a rude employee. I feel this office, the staff and Dr. Chou are the best. I now travel an hour and a half because I've moved and won't switch drs.

At my first visit with this doctor, the receptionist asked me questions about my medical history in front of other patients--HIPPA violation!! and then she made jokes about my answers and medical history! I should have left right then, but my experience got even worse. When I made the appointment, I asked if I could bring my baby with me (this was just a meet and greet initial office visit) and they told me that would be fine. When I got there, however, it was a different story. I was kept waiting for my appointment, and when I asked the same rude receptionist where I could go to change the baby, she told me to go find "Sheila" and ask her. I wandered around looking for someone to help, and then changed the baby in the women's restroom (no changing table there, by the way). I disposed of the diaper in a sealed bag in the trash can. I went back to waiting in the lobby, when a nurse came out with the same sealed bag, that she had PULLED OUT OF THE TRASH, handed it to me and said… "here's a little present for you." I did finally see Dr. Chou, and was not impressed. She did not ask me any questions about my medical history and seemed not to care much about me or why I was there. She seemed annoyed that I brought my baby with me. DO NOT GO HERE. FIND ANOTHER DOCTOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was just 10 minutes late because I got lost on my first appointment and they would not see me. The receptionist was nasty and inconsiderate. I took off of work to see this Dr. and it was a complete waste of time. I was appalled by how rude they were! I do not recommend anyone going there!
