Dr. Vivian H. Mao, MD

Visited Dr. Mao yesterday and she seemed to want to get out of there as quickly as possible. She was in and out of the appointment very quickly. Although I was referred by the another doctor she didn't seem to know what was going on with my case, and she seemed annoyed with me asking questions. She was very dismissive. She came into the room and started telling me what I needed to do without explaining or discussing anything with me. Didn't leave time for asking questions, I had to jump in and ask my questions as a result my concerns did not get addressed. Just an all around terrible experience. Very frustrating. If you have a choice go to someone else.

Dr. Vivian Mao is an outstanding doctor in every way possible. I highly recommend her. I get Botox for Adductor Spasmodic Dysphonia. One of the best doctors that I have had. By the way, I am 65 years old.

Dr. Was clueless and didn't try to properly diagnose.

I wish I had read the other reviews first before waiting about a month (first available appt.) only to be dismissed by Dr. Mao. She only examined for maybe 5 minutes and only asked a few basic questions. I left no better than when I came and 100% more frustrated. I was honestly looking forward to going and thought I would at least have a better idea what was wrong with me. Very discouraging!!!!!

Dr. Mao is absolutely wonderful. She cares about her patients and is a true professional. Highly recommended.

I think doctors should spend at least 5-10 min with patient. People take off from work and drive to reach a doctors office and doctor wants to let patients go as quick as possible????? We drove 20 min and spent around 15 min to find 'riverside' location. Disappointed Dr. Mao. I felt she did not like us asking questions and she wanted to let us go as quick as possible.
