My mother (79 yo) and I visited this doctor 2 times. The first was to discuss an inpatient procedure on her lungs & what needed to be done to find out if she was a candidate to help her breath better, as she is on oxygen. 1st visit he was very informative about the procedure & what the criteria was for performing this new procedure on the lungs. The doctor referred her to Meridian Mark for a CT scan of lungs & a follow-up visit for 3 weeks scheduled. She had the CT within 3 days & then came back for the results. 2nd visit while in his office, the doctor told us that the CT scan was not done correctly and he couldn't tell us anything. He left us in the room, asked us to wait & he would come back to let us know if we should immediately drive over to radiology & have CT Scan redone that day. We waited in room for 40 minutes, with no one at all checking in with us, when finally I opened the door to see what was happening (almost 5pm). No one was to be seen. I walked to front desk and asked where the doctor was & she stated that he was gone for the day & that no one knew that we were still in a patient room. Not only did the doctor forget that we were there, we left w/no information, follow-up call was necessary the next day. Next day, called & I explained what happened to our dismay & we got some run around about CT scan & they would have to get back to us. Nobody seemed to know what was going on. Very sloppy. A week later, called again & told they were sending the 1st CT scan to special radiology company & results would take 2-3 weeks. Three weeks later, called again & told that mother will need to redo CT scan, which was done within 3 days. Six weeks later, called again, this time I insisted on speaking to the doctor. When he finally called back, he spoke one sentence, "The scan showed only tip of one lung did not meet the 3 criteria he was looking for to perform procedure. The whole process was sloppy & would not ever allow my mother to have him for a physician, let alone, performing surgery on her lungs. The lack of care & service we experienced is unacceptable healthcare!
