Dr. Vu X Tran, MD

Dr Tran keeps me on track with my health concerns. Very easy to talk to, doesn’t rush through the visit. He makes surely you understand your treatment plan.

Dr Tran is wonderful however his staff isn't.my o parents are both in their 70s and it takes an act of congress to be able to see the Dr, and referrals takes not days or weeks they take months. Dr Tran always tells my parents to call and speak to him if they need but the nurses will not let them. I just wonder how many other elderly people are neglected in care just so the nurses can get a kickback from the insurance company to keep expenses down.

He is the absolute BEST. He and his staff go above and beyond. Hope HE never leaves OR half your reactive will go with him.

Dr. Tran was my primary care doctor for a very short time. That was because when I first met him as a new patient I asked him for the shingles shot. He adamantly stated he would not do that, that he does not recommend the shot because patients walk around thinking they're not going to get shingles, then when they do get the shingles it already is a very bad case. He said he would rather a patient come in if he notices unusual blisters and that they would then give the patient 3 shots to treat the 'shingles', and it would be a mild case that the patient would have. Well, a couple of months after that visit, I came down with a terrible case of shingles that attacked my spine, and I had not blisters to even consider my pain might have been shingles. By the time the blisters appeared, I had a full-blown case that caused me more agony than anyone could ever imagine. That was over one and one-half years ago. I continue to have nerve pain. I have permanent damage to nerve roots in my… spine. I have a dropped foot and I walk extremely slowly, carefully and I am always aware that I am extremely vulnerable to falling with one slight wrong move. Had he given me the shot I requested, I might have gotten shingles anyway, but it would have been a much milder case. Dr. Tran should not be practicing medicine.

He really cares and his staff is wonderful!

I have been with Dr. Tran for 10years,he shows interest in his patients and is very caring. If he would leave JSA I would follow him.

I've seen Dr Tran several times over the last two years for hypertension and cholesterol medication and referrals needed for routine colonoscopy screening and he was very attentive, listened to my concerns, answered all my questions to my satisfaction. His staff are very courteous and efficient.

Agree with Paul's review -- Dr. Tran is not to be trusted to proactively help his patients. The story is too complicated to go into, but in short -- misdiagnosis, no sense of urgency and across the board mismanagement of patient's health.

My mother was his patient for seven years. He had a reassuring and positive bedside manner with courteous staff. He was not effective in anyway to recognize obvious symptoms of heart failure in my otherwise healthy elderly mother. She trusted him with her life "Swelling feet is just something that happens when you get old, your heart is fine."
