Dr. Vudhi V Slabisak, MD

Well you could say everything that could go wrong it did. Surgery was hell the worst pain I have ever been in. I had to get out of the hospital so I could go home and take medicine they just wouldn’t get my pain under control. My mother was going through cancer at the time. I was told someone had to stay the night and she the only person I had. I had to be there at 2 pm and mom was to wait in a waiting room. Then they tell me it might be 4 pm till the anesthesiologist got there he was in Dallas doing another service so that’s why I was pushed back so long. All as my mother sitting up there waiting. I’m calling her telling her it’s gonna be two more hours so by the time they get me rolling in it’s about 630 mother still sitting there uncomfortable, no food . Then they call her and tell her they have to do another herniated disc on me so that’s four now . Finally at 11:30. They wheel me into my room where my mother is exhausted starving. She’s in pain from sitting in a chair for so long… then I get there and there’s no bed for her no food for us . The people don’t even know how to use the chair and I can’t get up. My neck hurt so bad so she has to sit in the chair I throw her in the bed with me because I know that she needs to rest, worst pain I’ve ever been . it was about a month later the pain came back the pain the pain in my arm going up to my neck is what I went in for instead, I got four herniated disc which is a little overkill. It’s been about seven months now I’m in pain in two spots. Where he did the herniated disc and the left side feels like it’s blown out so I have to go to a new doctor and have shots in which he should’ve done instead of going to surgery first he didn’t even ask me if he could try to see if that would work first. I have to see a new surgeon let’s just say my insurance fired him. So now I’m only working two days I’ve lost so much money and I’m still in so much pain and I finally get to see a new doctor. I went to Plano because I thought Plano would be the best doctor there and more expensive high-end. I was wrong be careful out there who cuts on you .

Worst Dr I have ever seen and horrible bedside manner. . He should have his license revoked. During visit he never even tested my strength or reflexes. I went in with neck and back pain after car accident. Slabisak is a business partner with Quantum Pain management. They just refer people back and forth to make money. I got a second opinion from a real orthopedic surgeon and he actually did a full examination and great bed side manor. Don’t waste your time and please get a second opinion if you do see him.

No help at all. Awful doctor. His office did not even take my son's blood pressure. He had bad pain in back an leg. He did not even ask one question about the condition. I will be reporting him, as this was a total waste of time and money. Not to mention waiting an hour to see this jerk.

Dr. Slabisak performed my 4th lumbar back surgery. He told me that it might not stop my pain, so after my surgery I was still in a lot of pain. He recommended the newest pain stimulator. After he installed it, I was able to go back to work after being off in severe pain for 12 years. I still have pain, but not even a fraction of where I was before. I had 5 different doctors do my cervical and lumbar surgeries, but by far Dr Slabisak is the best! He listens and cares for his patients. I would refer him to anyone with back pain.

I would give 0 Stars if possible!!!! I was referred to Dr. Slabisak for neck pain. First appointment at Allen Location was a joke. Waited an hour and a half and when he finally walked into the exam room, he literally spent 30 seconds and left me with the PA while he ran off to do injections down the hall! I was sent for an MRI and told to return to go over results. When I came back for follow up appt, I walked into a completely full waiting room with standing room only. This time I waited in pain for two and a half hours. Finally a front desk person slid the glass and told us all that the Dr. had an "emergency surgery" earlier that day and was "running behind"!!! Wow, that would have been great info to share with us earlier as we all sat, packed in there like sardines for almost three hours!!! If I didn't want to see my MRI results so badly and hear the needed treatment, I would have walked out! Finally I was called back after three hours of waiting. Again, only a PA was in… the room. They couldn't find my MRI copy, after verifying earlier that they received it. Finally they pulled something up on their computer and Dr. Slabisak whipped into the room wearing his sterile attire and in between giving injections down the hall, glanced at my images, and told me I needed Facet Injections, and would do in their office and not at a surgery center, and that their office would call to set up and that it took a few weeks! Never did I get to speak to him, ask questions, or have any type of conversation! His office staff was rude and incompetent. No one ever called me to schedule the injections, even though I had already decided I would never go back after that second appointment! I would say he is the least caring physician I have ever come in contact with and I would never go to him for anything! By the way, I have since been under the care of an excellent pain management physician and neurosurgeon and I was told Facet Injections were the WRONG procedure and NOT what I in fact needed for my condition!!!

AWESOME ?? DOCTOR!!! I first met him back in 2005. He was one of the best & friendliest doctor I have ever had, even up to today (2020). He explained everything perfectly. Was walking me through every step of every procedure. After my Fusion surgery I had, a few days after, he, personally, came to my bedside and said, "Will, you need to start getting up & begin the standing & walking process". I was a little anxious about it and scared, & was a little behind in the getting up stage. So, he said, "ok Will, let's go". He helped me sit up on the side of the bed. I settled in for a few minutes. Then, he bear hugged me & helped me to stand up. I have never heard or seen an actual surgeon themself, do anything like that. Most of the time, it's the physical therapist people do that. WOW!!!!! I could go on for a long time about Dr. Slabisak & his attitude, professionalism, caring and bedside manner. He is not only a very awesome doctor, but an awesome person. THANK YOU SO MUCH DR.… SLABISAK!!!!!

I'm so thankful I found Dr. Slabisak. I call him "The Spine Whisperer" for good reason.

Worst doctor ive ever encountered.

Worst experince of my life. More problems post op then pre. When i brought to his attention it became my fault. I have gone to other docs for these probs. Slabisak who could careless "my hardware looks fine" wish there was a zero star

10 years ago I had back surgery, today I suffer from pain. One leg is shorter than the other, I stated this when my feet touched the floor for the first time. Oh it’s because everything will return to normal. I complained to Dr. Slabisack this and he replied “it’s your pelvis.” Nothing else. I’ve had two doctors tell me Slabisack was a butcher and everyone knows It. So thanks doctor for runing my life.
