Dr. Vytautas Pukis, MD

Dr Pukis seems like a nice man, but he is a really bad doctor. He over prescribed my medication, and put me in serious danger. When I called his office about, he seemed angry and told me to go to the ER instead of fixing it. When I pushed him to fix it, he went too far the other way and under prescribed. I don’t like the way he talks about his country not using medications the way Americans do. He honestly believes that is a legitimate reason not to use medications. I mean, countries deep in Africa don’t use the medications Americans use, but does that make it right? My meds literally keep me alive. If you have anything other than a basic cold, Dr Pukis falls apart. I don’t even care about his rude and condescending manner, I just want a good doctor. Dr Pukis is NOT a good doctor.

Dr. Pukis is a thorough and competent physician! He is patient, caring and genuine with very professional bed side manors. His listening skills and patient engagement much surpass peer doctors. Having lived in many different cities, including abroad, Dr. Pukis is unquestionably this best general practitioner. Dr. Pukis gets it! Grateful that he is my GP!

Since May of 2015, Dr. Pukis was our hospitalist and now our family doctor. He helps coordinate the group of specialist so we get one comprehensive diagnosis and treatment plan for a serious chronic illness. I trust Dr. Pukis and his staff to help us make decisions and for our complete family care.

Pukus and his staff seem to be in a hurry; the place is a mill and he always seems in a rush. He did not engage me and I felt like an object. His staff has little time for questions. The atmosphere is definitely third world; don't speak up, don't complain and be passive. When I asked Pukus about delayed reports from another doctor, he told me if I don't like it, to get another doctor. I Need I say more. Run!

Staff is abrasive and has difficulty in answering reasonable questions. One senses it is a medical mill and surroundings border on the shabby. The doctor is rude and insensitive; one realizes you are an object. Stay away from this man.

While I can't say anything bad about Dr. Pukis, his office staff is atrocious. His nurses all seem disassociated, his in office people are all but rude, and his office manager justo seems to make excuses for the inexcusable behavior.

I wish I could write good things here. It started bad soon as I called for an appointment. Receptionist needs some fine tuning on her phone etiquette. When I arrived for my appointment (early, to get paper work filled out) I was not treated very well, I am not a difficult person, but I do expect to be treated with as much respect as I give. The actual exam took less than 3 minutes, I did have some issues I wanted to talk to him about but he seem rushed and uninterested. At check out there was some miscommunication about return visit. There are plenty of Dr's in Huntsville

Doctor pukis came recommend to me by a few friends. But I decided to go to a place closer to my house. I will tell you it is definitely worth the longer drive. I absolutely love this man. I've only been to see him once but I can tell he Is a good doctor. Within my first visit he decides we will do a lacroscpy. I am finally on my way to finding out some answers. I would recommend him to anyone having health issues and wanting to get down to the bottom of the problem or if your healthy just looking for a primary physician. He made me feel very comfortable he made me feel like I had his full attention and he listened. His staff is very nice and patient to. Blossomwood medical center is a great place to go.
