Dr Wade Cooper, DO

One of the best experiences I've had with a neurologist.

Dr Cooper was wonderful. He was kind, patient, and actually took the time to listen to all of my health issues and concerns. So appreciated all the time he took at our appointment and put together a plan of care.

Very clear treatment plan and l felt very confident in the decisions we made.

Dr. Cooper is an exceptional doctor who is thorough, very knowledgeable, caring, empathetic, and considers other related conditions such as POTS, and MCAS. I appreciate that he realizes that the body systems are interconnected and overlap. So many times specialists are too narrowly focused that they miss the bigger picture- not Dr. Cooper. He takes the time to really listen and understand what's going on and Involves you In treatment decisions. He does an excellent job creatively treating complex patients for whom the traditional treatments have failed. I can trust him with symptoms that are usually quickly dismissed and treated as psychiatric, but I know he looks deeper for the real cause. I'm very thankful to have Dr. Cooper. He also gives hope about medications in clinical trials, which means a lot when you've tried and failed so many current medications.

First of all, I would like to say that Dr. Cooper and his staff are really great--super nice and knowledgeable. The reason I am giving a poor rating is because I came from another practice who became out-of- network for me and I was referred to Dr. Cooper's practice. My previous migraine specialist had prescribed me a year's worth of meds, so initially Dr. Cooper's office didn't have to refill anything for my first 3 visits since we left things the same as the meds were prior to me going there. When I asked for refills of my meds at the most recent visit they said they'd call them in because I only had a month's worth of refills left. It was never done, so then I ended up calling twice more and still nothing. I was unable to get them to refill my meds (one of which needs to be tapered down to avoid withdrawal), so I ended up going to my out-of-network doctor again in order to get them refilled. I am just very disappointed and frustrated.

Dr Cooper is a careful listener and an excellent explainer. He answers all my questions to my satisfaction.

Wade Cooper is a provider I will follow no matter what. He is absolutely amazing and the staff at Howell are great!
