Wael Zouhair Tamim, MD

Wael Zouhair Tamim, MD, is a Diplomat of the American Board of Thoracic Surgery and American Board of Surgery. Dr. Tamim holds hospital privileges at Broward Health Medical Center and Broward Health Imperial Point. Dr. Tamim graduated with his Doctor of Medicine degree with Distinction from the American University of Beirut in New York City. He completed his internship in general surgery and his second and third years of surgical residency at New York University Medical Center. Dr. Tamim finished his third and fourth years of surgical residency at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center where he also was Chief Resident in general surgery. He then completed his residency in cardiothoracic surgery at the University of West Virginia where he served as Chief Resident in Cardiothoracic Surgery. Dr. Tamim has co-authored nine medical publications, delivered several medical presentations and posters, and continues to work on current medical projects. Dr. Tamims office is located in Broward Health Medical Centers Physician Office Building.
