Dr. Waichi Wong, MD

I owe my life to Dr. Wong. There is no other doctor in the world I trust more than her. It was back in 2011 when I was referred to her after MIT Medical found over 6.3g of protein in my urine. I was a student back then and didnt realize the severity of my situation. She told me right away what she suspected I have and booked a biopsy within days. She was thorough and compassionate and honest and took it more seriously than I did. I appreciated this very much. She put me on immuno suppressent and high dose steroid. She fully supported my medical leave from MIT and referred me to a local nephrologist. And even after I was no longer in Boston, she remembered me still and cared about me, and called me back a few times to check on me and to ween me off of the steroid slowly. It is so rare nowadays to find doctors who are not only extremely competent medically, but also truly cares about their patient. Taking things seriously from day one and treat aggressively and timely. If it wasnt… for her decisiveness and knowledge and caringness I would have easily ended up on the path to dialysis or transplant. But now 10 years later my kidney functions are still preserved thanks to her intervention. I feel so lucky that she was willing to see me again as I needed her help. I needed an honest assessment and opinion from the doctor I trust with my life. She was the wonderful doctor I remembered 10 years ago and I wish I could have given her a hug, but because of covid I restrained myself. On this canadian thanks giving day I want to thank you Dr. Wong. Thank you for all the years of health and life you have given and continues to give me, and the peace and happiness everyday knowing I could goto you when I need help and I would be in the best hands.

Dr. Wong is the best doctor I've ever had. She exceeded my expectations and I'd recommend her to anyone.

Dr. Wong is one of the most thorough and responsive physicians I've ever been examined by. Exceptional. She is part of Dr.Leslie Fang's medical practice, my primary care physician for over fifteen years, so I would expect nothing less. She exceeded my expectations. I would recommend her without reservation.
