Dr. Walter Ifeadike, MD

Dr. Ifeadike is very caring, professional, and patient with my daughter. He diagnosed her condition and provided treatment options to enable her to function as a normal teenager.

Does not provide information to Medicaid in order to get prescriptions filled. It costs $$ out of pocket with no concern for the affect this has on a family. Seems burned out.

Diagnoised sons problem that had not been understood for 15 years.

All three of my children are patients of Dr. Ifeadike. We have been going to him for 5 years and drive over an hour one way to his office. We will continue to drive and see him. He was able to diagnosis 2 of my children with issues that no other doctor could find. He treats us with respect and my kids love him. He answers any questions I have and he is very patient with me if I do not understand something. He does not unnecessary tests or prescribe unnecessary medicine. I can not imagine my kids being treated by another provider.

I took my son in last week for an appointment. He, and his three siblings have been suffering from a gastrointestinal parasite for two months. I was told that he would treat my son, and that he would also treat my other children. It is very difficult to get an appointment for 4 children, back to back. It is almost impossible to get 4 kids under the age of 6 who are very sick and vomiting, to ride in a car for 1.5 hours in traffic to see a doctor. Since all of the children are suffering from the same ailment, and it has been documented by the pediatrician's office, and the urgent care clinics, he agreed that they should all be treated the same way. He assured he it would not be necessary to bring in all of the kids. Fast forward one week. I call in, my kids are very sick again. It has been OVER TWO MONTHS at this point. I am told absolutely no, he will not treat my other kids without an appointment. ????? If that was the case, why was I lied to? We have waited and waited for care, and… we keep getting the run around. He flat out lied to my face. Completely unacceptable. If he HAD to see the other kids, with the exact same symptoms (just to make more money), then he should have said THAT, urged me to make an appointment as soon as possible (we we wouldn't have to wait even longer for treatment). Instead I was assured everything would be taken care of. I do NOT trust the doctor's word, or his office staff. Would NOT recommend them.

Things I didn't like....1) the Marietta office off Windy Hill Road is a rented space in an old building that smells and has rickety elevators. My children and I felt safer taking the stairs! 2)each visit we had we waited longer and longer to be seen. First time was not too bad. Second visit 45 minute wait and our final visit was over an hour wait! 3) Dr. Ifeadike seems like a nice man, but his Nigerian accent is very hard to understand. 4) Diagnosed my daughter with eosinophilic gastritis so put her on prednisone(steroids) for 5 weeks and also had her get blood drawn to check for food allergy. I called them about 4 times to check for results on blood test. Each time they acted too busy to deal with me. Even said if they had time in between taking patients back then they would call me back...really?! My last call to them they said they would check to see if results were in and if anything was abnormal they would call me otherwise see us at our next appt which was to be a month away.… Haven't heard from them! Needless to say, 5) my daughter is still very sick to where she has missed school and I have cancelled our upcoming appt in Sept and made an appointment with GI 4 Kids. 6) Oh another bad thing was they said we had to pay him upfront before he did her endoscopy otherwise he would not do it! I've never had to do that before. 7) Also they kept having my daughter come back for follow up appts every 2 weeks and ofcourse we had to pay a $50 copay each time! We will never go back!

I have waited a whole month for a Dr. Excuse for my child. I call and the voicemail say if you call beore 12 pm she will call back the same day. Its been a month and no call backs. I work for a Dr. and these work ethics are not tolerated and very much frowned upon. You want you patients to keep coming and hopefully then send you more patients. Now the Dr. is out of the country and i assume his nurse is with him because the call center keeps saying she is unavailable. Very disappointed in how the office is being runned no promptness and communication is lacking.

Walter Ifeadike is AWFUL and I am being mild when I say that....he was rude, disrespectful and VERY grabby and pushy...taking my daughter there once was one time to many and the office staff....so clueless.....it took them more then 10 times to call in my daughter's feeding supplies correctly ...never again...

In my opinion this doctor has NO business treating children, he has no Compassion for kid as far as I have seen. He office has NO idea what Customer service means. It took 2 days to get Meds called in and they charge for EVERYTHING like a copy for your child's records! DO NOT USE THIS DOCTOR!!!!!!!

Son has been a patient for over 11 years. After seeing numerous doctors, Dr. Ifeadike finally diagnosed him w/ UC/Reflux & possibly Crohns. After beginning treatment, my son was a completely different child. Will drive & wait as long as needed to see Dr. Ifeadike...patience is a virtue & your child's health is definitely worth the wait.
