Dr. Walter Ronald Skowsky, MD

This doctor is high on the list as far as knowing the latest information in his field. He knows about the latest medications to treat diabetes. Still, he doesn't prescribe everything that hits the market. If he has reservations about new drugs, he'll tell you why he doesn't want to use them immediately. He is very watchful of all of the potential health problems of poorly controlled diabetes & he gives the bad news as well as the good news to the patient. He speaks the truth.

This guy tried to load me up with every type of insulin and pill in the American market. If I didn't know any better, I would think he was getting a kick back from pharmaceutical companies. I went to another physician and I am on only a couple of medications.

Went one time. He spooked me. He came up behind me, grabbed my neck an squeezed. I was sitting on table and did not realize he had entered the room. Very scary demeanor. Not friendly for sure. Ordered some expensive tests. Then refused to send me the results of the tests or the results. Strange guy. I went to somewhere else.

I have been a patient of Dr Showsky for ten years. He is very knowledgeable. He believes every other Doctor is inferior. Catch him on a bad day and he's a complete jerk. Called me a liar, argumentative. He hates cardiologists complains about how much they charge but Dr Skowsky is the most expensive physician I see. There are few Endocrinologist in this area. I would change doctors if I had more options because he's mean

The best dr. I have ever come across. Wish more drs would take time with patients and were thorough like Dr. Skowsky. Really appreciate him and his staff.

Dr. Skowsky really helped me when I was having initial thyroid problems. He helped me to believe there was a light at the end of that dark tunnel, and for that I will always love him!
