Best pulmonologist/doctor if not just the west coast but. Maybe the US!

I have been a patient for many years as has my entire family. His knowledge and caring attitude are first rate. I also give the staff high praise for their efficiency and compassion. Thank you for taking such great care of myself and my family. We look forward to many more years with you all!
Incompetence
Self-verified patient of Dr. Walter J Willoughby - Posted on January 10th, 2019
This physician should do everyone a favor and retire to his Cali beach house. While he spends little time with patients although his billing statements reflect quite the opposite(?), his inconsiderate and arrogant manner are the reason his reviews and apparent patient outcomes are horrific!
Hostile staff, bad doctor.

The medical assistant is hostile, personal problems. Stormy the little Mexican with the feather in her hair is nice on the surface but I saw the other side of her when she became very aggressive with a patient and ripped papers out of her hand when the patient had a question. She pointed at something over and over banging her finger on the page. I heard things I shouldn't have because of the privacy laws. When the patient dropped her phone she stood up and Stormy had her hand over her mouth to mock laughter. The door of the office was open and I could see from my chair. The daughter Angela is the manager and very rude, sits with a dog and does her makeup in the back, her office is like her second bedroom or something. You won't get a smile from her, looks down on the patients. The doctor is not qualified. Someone needed 911 and they kept hesitating. Other reviews are right, he doesn't look at you, looks down and doodles on a paper. He has no interest in the health of his patients. He's now wearing chains and grew his hair long, he's over 70. If you are someone who really wants someone to tell you what's going on with your health or halfway cares, this is not the place you want to be. He's there to keep a fancy home and lifestyle and nothing more.
Extremely Happy.

I have seen several Doctors and finally met Dr. Willoughby. His staff was friendly and effecient. His offices and exam rooms were clean and spacious. ( Not a closet like others in Vegas I've seen) His waiting room for patient evaluation is comfortable and private and the Doctor himself spent time to explain everything. He was not rushed and wants to treat rather than mask with drugs.
super long wait

I waited over 40 minutes before Dr. Willoughby came to see me. The staffs talked too loud, I was irritated since they don't care for me while I'm waiting to long. They should check me and apologize for me waiting too long. Every visit is a long wait. I am not going to see Dr. Willoughby anymore. Goodbye...Sayonara... Aloha...
Outstanding pulmonologist

Dr. Willoughby is extremely thorough in his assessment and treatment of respiratory problems. As a patient with Sjogren's Syndrome, Dr. Willoughby is familiar with this disease process and the underlying pulmonary issues due to dry lungs.
Worthless

I've had a chronic cough for over 2 years that is only controlled with high doses of prednisone. On a recent visit to the Mayo clinic, they advised me to ween off the prednisone and get tested for asthma. I went to Dr. Willoughby with all my records and asked for his help. He made me take a pulmonary function test, even though I had already done this test twice before. Then, after waiting another 30 minutes, he comes in and says that I have a very complex problem and he can't help me. He tells me there is nothing he can do, he doesn't ween people off prednisone, and he doesn't test for asthma. He then shows me out and says "good luck." I wasted an hour and a half for him to do absolutely nothing. When I receive his bill, I think I'll write on it, "Sorry, I can't help you. Good luck."

You will wait a very long time, deal with rude staff, and finally see doc, who will stare at his computer and never make eye contact.
