Dr. Warren Kyle Yamarick, MD

The "care" provided by Dr. Yamarick warrants a comprehensive review. Dr. Yamarick's failing to conduct a physical examination and instead, providing a diagnosis based on a guess. As well as a fabricated medical records and reason for discharge. The patient's attempts to explain their symptoms and bacterial exposures were halted. Despite reasoning for bacterial infections, exposure to enviromental, opportunistic pathogens from HVAC system is on going with reoccurent UTI's and other unexplained medical issues. A possible GI bacterial infection, were disregarded although the bacteria found in cultures are rare & grow in unmaintained hvac units. Patient was advised to have that documented in detail by others and was denied that right. The patient's request for antibiotics were denied, & the underlying cause of their abdominal & back pain was not investigated. This resulted in a perceived lack of appropriate care and a feeling of being dehumanized & discriminated against due to a… disability. During the ER visit, despite not requesting pain medication, the patient was reportedly lectured and accused of seeking medication, despite a preference for antiinflammatory shots, which are effective and appropriate for temprary relief for the patient's condition, given the inability to take oral antibiotics inflammatory medications due to stomach issues. And an autoimmune disease that likely impedes healing and prolongs pain. The patient's condition was worsening, yet this was not taken into consideration The patient contacted the charge nurse, who allegedly misrepresented the situation on Mychart and terminated the call prematurely. The patient possesses evidence to support their claims. The patient believes Dr. Yamarick violated their civil rights. The patient reports feeling discriminated against & stereotyped, despite managing their disability effectively. Patient has evidence. The patient has initiated several formal complaints. The patient's recent medical history includes: May Hospital visit for left-side pain and seizures. May Hospital visit for severe left kidney pain, diagnosed with a rare severe infection and kidney stones. June Emergency room visit for a 9mm kidney stone obstruction, discharged with oral medication for ureter relaxer, and assured the stone would pass. June Subsequent emergency room visit due to the 9mm kidney stone obstruction June next day surgery to drain the kidney of pus, blood, and stagnant urine July the next week a subsequent 9mm kidney stone obstruction surgery was performed. Days later, a SECOND rare bacteria was identified in a urine culture. ER visit at Riverside resulted in no examination & discarded after watering 7 hours or so. Two days later, a urologist appointment was scheduled (see update). The patient was referred to Riverside, a facility with specialists, while the urologist was on vacation. Patient has regrets. The urologist's assessment noted a history of recurrent stones, recurrent right-side pain despite previous left-side stone removal, & a small cluster of stones in the right lower pole. The urine sample from the emergency room (GRADY) visit suggested a possible infection, but antibiotics were not administered, & a culture may not have been sent (RIVERSIDE). The urologist plans to treat empirically w/antibiotics, prescribed medication for bladder irritability, & follow up w/a 24 hour urine test with evaluation and referred to a gastroenterologist. The term "empirically" in medical terminology signifies decisions based on PRACTICAL experience & observation rather than theoretical principles. The patient has undergone three abdominal surgeries, a colon resection, gallbladder removal, and exploratory surgery w/a history of diverticulosis/itis, & was advised to avoid oral anti inflammatories s due to stomach pain and a recent adhesion located on small intestine in upper right quadrant. Had a very serious toe injury that I tried to administer care to myself, hoping to avoid an urgent care/ER visit. I lost that battle, but began another when I did finally have to seek assistance from an ER 'professional' - Dr. Yamarick. It was my bad luck that he was on staff the night I visited. Short version = this man is a disgrace to humanity, let alone his profession. There I am, a PATIENT, visibly upset, my toe is....not really looking like a toe any longer, and this guy was rude, condescending, arrogant......he put me on the defensive (like, why would that be a goal of his, unless 1. he has some sort of complex he needs to get under control, or 2. he hates everyone/everything/his profession. The latter is what came through the strongest during my unfortunate interaction with him). The WORST medical experience I have had to date. AND, then the bill arrives. Nearly $3,000 for the ER visit. And I have not yet received HIS bill for HIS....uh...'service?'. Will be… disputing THAT one.

Dr.Yamarick was respectful, quick, and thorough. Ran appropriate procedures given my symptoms to determine referring urgent care doctors heightened concern was not warranted with my age, severe head/chest cold and bit of pneumonia. All staff, including nurse Thomas, were kind and efficient.

This man (does not deserve the title of doctor) is an abusive, righteous, condescending, highly inappropriate and downright cruel individual. He is in a position to cause great harm to sick and vulnerable people. He shouts and talks down to patients and behaves borderline psychotic in his rigid arrogant one tracked way of thinking. The fact that Ohio Health has someone like this running their emergency department is unfathomable. His resume is despicable. One google search will reveal that he is rageful, hostile, and dangerous towards patients. He should be removed from his position and not allowed to harm anyone in general public any further. I don’t care how long he’s been doing this I have never in my life been treated by a doctor in such a dimented way. Run don’t walk away if you are put under this mans care.

I was treated by Dr. Yamarick yesterday evening at the Ohio Health ER center in Westerville. Even though I told him that I was in severe pain and asked him to proceed with caution, he was way too rough and became rude and condescending when I asked him to stop what he was doing. He did not explain what he was doing or why. When I asked him about an MRI to try to find out what was going on since nothing was broken, he said that unheard of and inappropriate in this type of injury but afterwards we found out the facility was not equipped with an MRI machine which he chose not to mention. When I followed up with an orthopedic doctor today, they informed me that an MRI indeed would have been done if I had been taken to an fully equipped hospital. The bottom line is that if you are looking for a doctor who treats his patients with respect and dignity, do not go to this doctor. I am 45 and this is the first doctor review I have ever felt the need to write but Dr. Yamarick made an already… horrible experience so much more traumatic.

Dr Yamarick treated me yesterday in the ER due to injuries I received in a fall. I was in and out of the ER in 3 hours. Diagnosis, X-rays and ctscan.

This guy comes across as a confident and intelligent yet caring emergency room doctor. Don't know about you but that's what I want in an emergency room doctor. He can control only so many things in his environment though. Volume in the emergency room and seriousness of cases coming in aren't ones he can, and those control how fast he can get to his patients. But what he can control he is good at, especially diagnosis and treatment of what ails you. He has treated me several times and always accurate, and given me the best patient care possible. Don't concern yourself with the other negative reviews and ratings. They are wrong.

Saw Dr. Yamarick in the ER for heart problems. Heart was OK, but found issues with a spot on my lung. He was SO caring and patient and sat down and answered all of my questions, while making sure I understood how serious the issue was. The bright spot to my otherwise scary ER visit.
