All four of my children visited Dr. C for years. He was always thorough and kind. He spent extra time going over things we didn’t understand. He was our pediatrician for 5 years before we moved. We’ve never found another Dr as good as Dr. C.

My children ages NB and 3 years were seen by Dr. Chiavacci for a 2 year period while I lived in Yuma.Dr. Chiavacci was professional, diagnosed my children properly and answered my pointed questions promptly and caringly.

Dr. Chiavacci is rather formulaic in his approach to children. He does not seem to spend enough time with the child to diagnose the problem accurately. I would suggest other pediatricians in Yuma.

My son has had conjestion since he was 3 wks old. I had recently moved to AZ & got recommended by the hospital to Chiavacci. I should have never listened! I went in for the 2 mth check up & they didnt even have an area or device to measure my son! They placed him on a sheet on paper & marked the head & foot & measured with measuring tape. To make matters worse my son had really bad conjestion the 2nd reason I had taken him in & Dr. Chiavacci agreed to keep him on the medication all winter. A week later he said was good the go NO CONJESTION! & to stop the nebulizer medication. My son got worse! I took him in a week later & he said oh dear he is very conjested, last month has changed his condition when he took him off the medication. EVEN WITH THE MEDICAL RECORD IN HIS HAND HE COULDNT SEE THAT ONLY **ONE WK** he had told me to stop the meds. The yes conjetion no conjestion game cont for abt another month & a half until he finally decided my son had to see a specialist. &&& of course the… lady in charge of that was poorly trained. She set up an app. & didnt advise me so I missed the app & the specialist only came in every so often from Pheonix. When I went in for the referral she said she would call me the next morning I waited 2 wks before I heard back mind you I called in every 2 days. I finally saw the specialist & got answers abt my son's condition. This whole time my son could have been getting treated Dr. Chiavacci & the lady in charge of referrals were wasting my time! To top it off he never gave me information as to how my son was growing, what stages & new things to look for, the WIC office gave me more insite to his development than his own doctor. I would not recommend Dr. Chiavacci to anyone that actually wants information abt their childs development or to have their child actually cared for. If the doctor spent 10 mins with me in one visit that would be much. He mostly came in and did the whole visit in abt 5 mins!!!!
