After earning his BA at the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Weil conducted research at the National Institutes of Health (NIAID) before completing his MD at NYU School of Medicine. He then finished his orthopedic residency at NYU’s Hospital for Joint Diseases, including specialized trauma training at R. …Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center. During residency, he also cared for athletes and performers with the New York Mets, New York Rangers, New York City Ballet, and Alvin Ailey Dance Company.

I was in search of a good orthopedic arthritis thumb surgeon for a second opinion and asked Google for the best in the state of Washington. Dr. Weil was one of three names that was presented. I read his bio and watched his video. I was impressed. It was quick and easy to make an appointment. My first visit was with physician assistant for xrays and assessment of my thumb. I saw Dr Weil the following week. Dr.Weil was very friendly and had good bedside manners. He asked about my concerns and answered any questions. He then examined my thumb and told me about the type of surgery he would perform. He was very reassuring that the surgery would give me a quick recovery time along with hand therapy. Now I'm just waiting for surgery to be approved.
