Dr. Wendy Gram Brick, MD

Dr. Brick and the entire Levine Cancer team have helped my journey through cancer be the most caring, encouraging and healing experience I could imagine. Not knowing what to expect, I was terrified of the diagnosis, but after my first visit to the Cancer Center and continuing to today, any time I had a question or need for concern, Dr. Brick and her team have answered my concerns immediately. Dr. Brick did much research to decide about my treatment and took the time needed with me to explain her decisions. I would recommend anyone to go the route of care that I did.

When I look back I think it was odd that dr. Brick and he team told NOT to look on the internet for information. Maybe they just don't want the patients to be informed. Dr. Brick assured me that if I had symptoms of neuropathy she would adjust the dose of the chemo, not true. Instead she just poo poo'd my complaints and now I am partially disabled by it. She seemed to be more interested in herself than my problems. I had complained to her many times about varies things and she never addressed them. I asked her for an antidepressnat on 3 different occasions and she never did give me one nor did she refer me to a psychiatrist. It is a well documented fact that cancer patients get depression and it is even more common with chemo agents that have neurotoxins like the ones for breast cancer. Shame on Dr. Brick for using denial instead of assessment skills. It seemed that they just are concerned with survuval numbers and not with the quality of life. I wish the doctors had to have more… continuing ed and were not so afraid of having patients informed. I got no follow up; when I would go after my chemo I felt like thy were just taking my money - no tests, no evals, just how ya doing and then not listening to the reply. I also needed papers filled out for work and disability, what a pain to get these done with them. In the end they refused to do it at all even though I was still under their care.Also, the information they provided was like from a worn out script; the NP basically repeated what the doctor said and the nurse said no new or useful information. During the education session I was told not to interrupt.Poor coordination of care also. Shop around and choose wisely when you need chemo. I know that having cancer is overwhelming and hard to deal with but there has to be someone out there that can assess and make good choices for their patients. Good Luck.

Have all ways has made me feel important and comfortable when going through my treatment and my visits with her. I would highly recommend her.

Dr. Brick is a great doctor and a great person as well. She cares for her patients and talk to them as people not just illness. I recommend her to anyone who would need the same kind of care that I needed.

Excellent doctor would go see her again if i had the same problem, just a great doctor with great manners and seems like she cares about her patents. Her office staff is just as great as she is.
