Dr. Wendy Mcfalda, DO

After waiting over a week for an appt. to see a doctor for a rash on my FACE, I was seen by a PA. Of course, I had to pay the co-pay for seeing a specialist, even though I only saw the physician's assistant. She misdiagnosed the rash and the medication she gave me made it MUCH worse. I tried to get an appt. to see an actual doctor in the office and was told the first available appt. was in two weeks! Meanwhile the rash ON MY FACE was getting worse by the day. I explained this to the receptionist who was unbending in her "two weeks" away appt.! This office used to treat actual medical problems. Now, it's just a glorified spa! If I had wanted to have any cosmetic procedure done, I'm sure they would have gotten me in for a consultation right away. Another derm in the area got me in the next day and correctly diagnosed and treated the rash. If you want to see a doctor and have an actual medical problem treated, don't go here!

Dr. McFalda is very knowledgeable and has a great personality. She makes you feel comfortable and is VERY good at her profession. I have been to other Dermatologists before and she's the best I've been to.

Only giving one star because I can't give ZERO.

I have had many problems with two children over the course of 3 or 4 years from long waits, to poor results and most recently failure to see my daughter due to her not having my insurance card. No phone call to confirm the card on record and caused my daughter to leave sobbing and crying. No compassion and only dollars are what Dr. McFalda values. WE WILL NOT RETURN AND WARN NEW PATIENTS.

I would never see this doctor again. The amount of time she spent on my skin check was not long enough to thoroughly check for skin cancer. And her billing department sent me to a collection agency after the insurance company paid for the visits. Then they lied to the collection agency about being paid, and also lied and said I never gave them my insurance info. (Which I had given them about 5 times). I've never been treated this way by a doctor/billing dept. I should have driven over an hour to go to my old derm who is excellent and doesn't lie.

I needed some back hair removed, so I went to Clarkston Dermatology. They were very nice and affordable. I will be going back to them again.

I have been to her office many times. Most of the time she looked at me for a minute and prescribed me 4-5 medications. None of the medications were generic either. So even with my insurance I was paying $78 a month in cremes and medications. The pharmacist even complained that she NEVER prescribes generics. This makes the bills HIGH! I would recommend looking elsewhere!

I have quite an embarrassing and painful disease called hidradenitis suppurativa. I have been battling and needing frequent care. Dr. McFalda was so worried about me she provided me a private way to contact her if I needed. When I did need an emergent appt. the staff and Dr. stayed after hours waiting for me to get there for over an hour. The staff is always nice to me and accommodating. I wish this could be my primary care office! I can't say enough about how wonderful they are.

I went in for a full body check as skin cancer tuns in my family and I am red haired and fair. Dr. McFalda did not look at my legs, feet or in my scalp. When leaving I commented to the nurse that I did not feel that was a very thorough exam she agreed and said that there must have been a mistake and I would need to come back for my body check. They charged me my co-pay and I returned a week later for my full exam they charged me another co-pay and I waited forever to see the Dr. Dr. McFalda did not remember me and said if she didn't fully exam me it was because I didn't clearly state why I was there. She blamed me! Never again!!! They were the worst, too busy and too big to care about the individual.

Dr McFalda was very thorough and professional giving me plenty of time to discuss all aspects of my skin problem areas with her with wonderful results.
