Dr. Sue is amazing he goes above and beyond for his patients and not just that but he in my opinion is the best in the nation when other Doctors couldn’t cure my WPW he did he was able to remove 2 extra pathways that were in difficult locations and not only did he cure my WPW but he also cured my heart failure that was caused by my WPW to anybody looking for an EP cardiolgist Dr. Sue is the one to go with !

Over the past 3 years I have had horrible palpitations with atrial fibrillation. I went to Texas for my initial ablation, then again to San Francisco twice. Eventually after doing much research, i underwent cryoballoon freezing ablation and was able to leave the hospital the day of the procedure! Compared to almost a a week stay for other ablations. Dr. Su's team is amazing!

After suffering from SVT for several years, my original cardiologist had referred me to a well published EP. After meeting the referered EP and given my hesitation with the ablation procedure, I chose to look around for other options. Friends in the medical field across all of Arizona only had one recommendation; Dr.Su. Upon my original meeting all the way to the ablation took a little under 3 months. Dr.Su, his medical staff, Maryann with the insurance department, the follow up with Dr.Kusne, the hospital staff and the cath lab staff were all well above exceptional. For someone who is terrified of surgeries and having developed this condition at just 26, I can’t imagine having gone elsewhere for my cryo ablation. While my procedure will likely result in a permanent cure long term, if for any reason it will reoccur I would not hesitate another trip to the hospital under Dr.Su’s hand.

Dr. Su & his staff are all professional & welcoming. Dr. Su & staff are outstanding medically & relating to patients. Before seeing Dr. Su - I considered a couple other EPS doctors at the top of their profession - all good. Dr. Su & his team were easier to work with - the protocol was much easier as well - with much less bureaucracy & multiple tests beforehand - whereas protocol here is easier & more streamlined - they were able to conduct whatever was necessary the day of the procedure. Other doctors' practices I considered required several different appointments for tests in addition to requiring blood thinner for months prior - which would delay treatment for me. Dr. Su is easy to talk to & answers all your questions without making you feel nervous or pressed for time. Dr. Su's whole team, both office & in the OR, is professional, welcoming & make you feel safe & confident. Finally, Dr. Su's expertise - outstanding - & the procedure changed the quality of my life by the very… next day - in the most welcome & positive way. While I don't reside in Arizona - they made it pretty easy & simple to travel to Arizona - & beyond worthwhile - office visit 1 day, procedure the next - stay a couple of days & head home - actually faster than had I done the procedure in my home state - & again, the results - I felt a world better within days. Can't speak highly enough about the entire experience.

I had cryotherapy ablation in May 2015 by Dr.Su while I was living in Arizona. While his bedside manner was great, he has a tendency to treat the patient with the rose colored glasses approach, to the point of minimizing or leaving out what turns out to be potentially vital information later on. I developed severe groin pain postoperatively which lasted for five weeks. The pain was spasmodic and literally crippled me when attacks came on. I was told originally by him that "this doesn't happen". Then PA staff, also sugary nice, told me it would only last a few days. They gave me Percoset and one other painkiller which were only partially successful. i learned that Su used a catheter that did not fit through the groin vein and apparently ripped thru enough nerve endings to cause this issue, and went through another leg in order to proceed. Su later told me this only happened with one other patient when pressed. It was a tremendously painful experience, and although it occurs in 1 percent… of patients from an MD that I had a subsequent ablation with last month, it appears that Su and staff did what they could to distract or minimize the incident. Su had me on amniodirone for six months. He wanted me on it for a year, but I objected because of the terrible side-effects this med causes. I also learned subsequently that this med is usually given to older patients on their last leg, so to speak.FYI. I was symptom free for two years, but the AF returned and I had to have a second ablation, this time radiotherapy, by Murray Rosenbaum MD in Boca Raton, Fla, where I currently reside. Procedure was complex and required work in the left atrium and mitral valve areas, and I was on the table for four hours. This guy did a great job, as I was extremely short of breath leading up to procedure. He told me, and I later verified from his medical record, that Su had left unfinished work in trying to create an atrial roof. Rosenbaum completed the work. Naturally, it horrified me that Su could leave unfinished work in the cardiac area and kept it quiet. I wondered why he remarked to me at the time that he didn't expect me to do as well as i did. This negligence belies the coincidental result of my being symptom free for two years, and I wonder whether it could have brought on the recurrence I had. Statute of limitations in Az prevents me from opting to legal remedies. But a caveat is necessary. Think twice before you use him.

If you are in AFIB and have dealt with the "plumber" type cardiologists without success, I would highly recommend Dr. Su. He is an "electrician" who helped perfect the cyro ablation procedure and is in my mind the most experienced in the US at this procedure. After 3 attempts by my plumber type cardiologist who put me on rhythm medications and cardioversion (shock), I finally got smart and went to see an electrician cardiologist. The electrician told me that if he was me and needed an ablation he would see Dr. Su. I was amazed that this good doctor turned down business that he could have performed himself and recommended me to the best, Dr Su.

Very good at explaining diagnosis and how best to care for yourself at home to stay heart healthy. Also, great office staff! Very helpful and prompt.

Dr. Su's quiet confidence offers the patient a sense of trust. He spends time making you comfortable with the situation and explaining all options. In addition to the endless "word of mouth" praise the patient instantly feels that he will do everything in his power to fix your heart. He's warm, kind and without a doubt, knows what he's doing. I'd never consider seeing another electrophysiologist. Why anyone would choose anything but th balloon cryoblation I just don't understand.

I have been dealing with afib for 10 years and he is the only doctor who even explained to me what is going on. I feel empowered and it is also amazing he is the best ablation doctor who does cryoballoon freezing. I had a procedure with him 6 months ago and 10 years of afib is gone! He said it is lifelong and will eventually come back if i don't loose weight but I can at least loose the weight now! You're amazing Dr. Su! By the way the address is wrong. he is no longer at St. Joseph and he runs the program at Banner University Medical Center (Goodsam) now on 12th and McDowell. I also met a patient from Maryland who flew in to see him, so I knew I was going to the right place. Just wish I met Dr. Su sooner.

I initially saw Dr. Su's procedure on youtube after long research on how to best treat my afib. Cryoballoon was absolutely the best decision i have made and I have been afib free for 2 years now off of medication! the procedure was only one and half hours and I went home the same day! I can't believe how good I feel off of medication. I also met another cardiologist who came to see Dr. Su as a patient and that's when I felt even better initially about flying in to see Dr. Su.
