An internist is a physician who focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of conditions that affect the adult population—both acute and chronic.
These doctors are often who adults see as their primary physicians because they treat a broad range of illnesses that do not require surgical or specialist interventions. They also work to help a patient maintain optimal health in order to prevent the onset of disease.
In addition to treating the common cold and flu, internists also treat chronic diseases like diabetes and heart disease.

I have been a patient of Dr Psuls for over 20 years and can say he is the best Rheumatoligist I have ever consulted. After many try's I was referred to Dr Paul and have been very satisfied with my treatment. After several try's my medication was adjusted to give me the best treatment and a livable level of pain I could tolerate . As you know pain is a daily visitor when you have rheumatoid arthritis. Dr Paul has been a friend as well as a Dr who has helped me immeasurably over the years. I would not hesitate to recommend him and his associates to my friends and family. He rates 5 stars as far as I am concerned !!!!! .
I was referred to this office to see a different physician but when called to schedule an appointment I was told it would be 3-4 month wait for the original doctor so I was told that Dr. Paul had an opening the following week and would be happy to see me. I accepted the appointment. When I arrived the waiting room was packed out and I signed in and sat down 45 minutes later I was called to the desk and asked to fill out a slew of paper work. When I completed them and turned the back into the receptionist I waited another 35 minutes before being called to the back to see the doctor. I was not impressed with Dr. Paul at my first visit. He came in with his laptop in hand and while I was telling him why I was there he did not look at me just at his laptop, I feel like I had to tell him what was wrong and what I needed from him. He spent about 5 minutes with me and ordered lab work and gave me a prescription and was told to make an appointment to return 3 months later. I went back and the same wait, the same laptop visit and when I asked him for help with something different it was as if , well I can if you want and has been that way ever since. I asked to see the original dr that I was referred to and was told by the receptionist that I had to stay with Dr. Paul and could not change after being seen by him. I do not care for him and his bedside manner as to speak, He does not seem to be concerned about me as a patient.
