Dr. William Anthony Thomas, MD

Spent no time with me and did not explain anything. Also misdiagnosed my ailment. Went to John Hopkins because there are NO board certified Neurologists in the beebe hospital network. Only the Hospitalist is Board Certified.

Would highly recommend that you research your doctor, for where he was educated, AMRICAN MEDICAL SCHOOL and if he will actually see you. Now a days with the way medicine has developed in the last few years, in all likelihood you will see the PA and not the doctor....of course depending on your insurance reimbursement rate

Went to a Doctor's appointment with my mother today to see Dr. Michael Thompson, who is a neurologist in Lewes. Took us 3 months to get to see him. I called when my 87 year old mom was really having some cognitive issues and I felt it was time to get a baseline and to be proactive with the issues we are guaranteed to see in future years. I was beyond thrilled with this visit. He was amazing. He was pleasant, fun, really asked amazing questions, but best of all, he really listened. He set the meeting up with me staying out of the beginning conversation, because he saw my mom looking to me for answers. He tested her thoroughly and then asked for my opinions. He diagnosed my mom with very early onset Dementia. She is having issues with her short term memory, world retrieval, money and dates. Those are all common beginning issues and it is to basically be expected. We talked about her routine and if she was happy and how losing the right to drive has affected her. She was very forthcoming… and he was just perfect with how he handled her. We go back in a few months. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Thompson and hope that anyone needed his services gets in more quickly than we did!

Georgia was very knowledgeable and professional. Shetook her time during the appointments and answered every question. Dr. Thomas was not and did not.

I called for an appointment to see Dr. William Thomas and was asked if it would be okay for me to see his associate. I assumed by associate that they meant another doctor in the office. Instead, I was given an appointment with the physician assistant. While she was quite nice and her interaction with me adequate, I felt I had been misled. She had me scheduled for EMG/NCV studies. I still have not seen a doctor in the office. Maybe I am a dinosaur, but I would prefer to be seen for neurological symptoms by a physician, not a paraprofessional. Another issue was the staff seem to hide behind one-way glass....where they can view out into the waiting room area, but no one can view them. What are they doing behind the glass that they want no one to see? Similarly, they seem to hide behind a convoluted answering system when one calls in to ask a question, reschedule an appointment, ask for copies of reports, etc. . The answering system serves both Dr. William Thomas and… his wife, Dr. Michelle Thomas who is in an unrelated field. You never get to talk directly with anyone unless you are someone calling from another doctor's office on a matter of urgency. You leave a message and wait for quite some time for a call back. The office has never appeared very busy on my visits....one or two other patients at most and sometimes they are there to see the hand surgeon who seems to share office space. So what are they doing behind that one-way glass that keeps them too busy to answer the phone. The thing that probably bothers me the most is that when I checked Dr. Thomas out on this website I found that he does not appear to be board certified in neurology or any other field of medicine. Additionally, his medical education was in a banana republic school....not in the USA. How skilled is he? I have changed my mind about pursuing any further workup of my medical condition through him or his office. Looking elsewhere!

Staff was very nice and Dr. Thomas was friendly and had a good sense of humor.

I've spent thousands of dollars on tests and still haven't seen the doctor. Office staff reschedule 2 of my 3 appointments and couldn't care less about my inconvenience or that I've been trying to address my health issue for over 4 months now. I'm now looking for a team that cares
