Dr. William Anthony Wood, MD

I went and saw dr wood very disrespectful didn’t seem like he wanted to even be there or even talk to me. He had no consideration for what I was saying. Was talking to me like I was a child and did absolutely nothing to help me with my tonsils. The most unprofessional dr I’ve ever met had a bunch of snarky remarks for information I was trying to give him. The absolute worst I’ve ever experienced proceeded to charge my insurance for a 4 min appointment of him basically degrading me the whole time.

On May 23 2017,Dr. Wood did a tonsillectomy on my 10yrs daughter. 2 days later she coughed up blood. Rushed her to hosp. They admitted her with no tests being done. She started coughing that evening and died. He was only to take out her tonsils not her adnoids... he has ruined my life. My daughter would've graduated tmr.

I have the same complaints as all the other patients who wrote negative reviews. If he has a problem with treating disabled patients then he shouldn't charge their insurance especially if he does nothing for them.

The contempt was palatable from the moment he started talking. He seemed mad his office scheduled me for a test he didn’t think I needed. He was hostile the whole time and at the end when he asked me why I was disabled I knew why. Some people really can’t handle knowing that some disabled people don’t look sick. They think we should look as bad as we feel I guess. I don’t know but he didn’t even look in my nose, barely looked at my throat & if they can’t give me a follow up with a different doctor I guess I have to start over. Don’t waste your time here.

Seems as if he had nothing better to do, never be his last patient on a Friday afternoon. I appreciate the fact that your doctor should know more about the condition of the patient he is working on but talking down to the patient as if the pt. is an idiot is degrading. Will not be returning.

I felt like Dr. Wood had other things on his mind and simply went thru the motions of an appointment. Really didn't address my issue and I didn't feel strongly enough to advocate.

I was his last patient of the day and he could not wait to get me out of his office. He asked me to return but I never did.

Dr. Wood is a very capable physician... capable of disrespect for patients. He made derogatory remarks about me as a patient, in an email meant for a non-medical person (with whom Dr. Wood had no right to discuss my medical information) but he was careless enough to accidentally copy the message to me, which resulted in embarrassment for Dr. Wood when I brought it to the attention of his superiors. Dr. Wood may be great to patients whom he deems worthy of compassion, but in general he lack basic empathy, and is arrogant.

WAITED FOR 2 WKS FOR APPT. WAITED FOR 90 MINS TO SEE DOC. I TRIED TO TELL HIM WHAT MY PROBLEM WAS (I CAN'T BREATHE THRU MY NOSE), HE TOLD ME HE DIDN'T HAVE TIME. HE HAD TWO OTHER MORE IMPORTANT PATIENTS. TOLD ME TO SPRAY SALINE UP MY NOSE AND COME BACK IN A MONTH. THINK I"M GOING BACK????????? UHHH, NAH I DON'T THINK SO!

My husband is not a complainer... at all...he was having so much ear pain it was getting on my nerves.. I took him to see several doctors and no one knew what to do with him..by word of mouth around the neighborhood, Dr. Wood was highly recommended by one of my friends who took her child to him.. she said he was great and his office staff was very friendly.. Anything to have my husband stop whinning..I made the appointment it took me about a week to get in but let me tell you,, it was WELL worth it.. My husband had a serious ear problem that if it was not found soon he would have been completely deaf in his older years. Dr. Wood was HONEST enough to recommend a surgeon upstate who he knew that specializes in this type of surgery instead of like other doctors who do the surgery screw it up and then send you.. He has followed up with Dr. Wood after his surgery and he is doing wonderful.. After that.. My children were checked and needed ear tubes.. Dr. Wood did their surgery and he did a… wonderful pre and post op follow ups.... He is a compassionate and wonderful doctor.. You won't find too many ENT's like him around Sussex County.....
