I was a patient for over 15 years and have seen unsettling changes in the practice. You rarely get to see the doctor, and only after you fight for it, the last time I went for a sick visit, no one even took my vitals and just wrote a prescription within 5 minutes, and the NP seriously missed a diagnosis on my husband which resulted in him being hospitalized for nearly a week. Dr. Bartels has always been amazing, but his staff seems to do the bare minimum and since I can never see him, I am choosing to go elsewhere.

Because of my job, I have dealt with many physicians throughout my career. Dr. Bartels is the smartest, most caring that I have found. This is why he has been my personal physician for many years. As my children grew out of pediatric care, they are now his patients too and are blown away at the difference in care. My wife recently switched to him after 20 years elsewhere and cannot say enough good things about him. Everyone gripes about wait times at any office, but I don't mind if I wait here because Dr. Bartels spends the time that he needs to with his patients. He does this because he CARES. When he's not available, his PA Ron is very good too.

been going to him since he opened...I too have noticed a HUGE decline in the practice. You hardly EVER get to see HIM...just his nurse practitoner...when my son and father were hospitialized...this Dr didnt go to hospital...sent a friend who is a Dr. to cover for him...disgusted..yes we are...moving on???...Yes I am!! saddened though, he really was at one time an excellent, caring physician...

Dr. Bartels has been my family's doctor for several years. In that time we have had many different ailments. He has always diagnosed everything correctly and referred us to high quality specialists when needed. My family's health has improved under his care and we are glad he is our doctor.

If you are going to the doctor for unnessesary medications, he's the one for you! Hands out pain pills like they are skittles! Hopefully you can explain your problems in under 5 minutes, because thats all you get, aside from the extremely rude nurses! And if you need information about a diagnosis, I suggest you head to Web MD rather than this guy. Also, he no longer goes to hospitals. Nice.
