He treated my son in 2015 and was extremely rude and told me I didn't know what I was talking about, after I had been with my baby at one of the best hospitals in the nation for months and was in direct contact with the surgical and ICU team. His wife works below him so you can only imagine the unfair treatment that goes on in that NICU. I had an experience with her trying to place a butterfly IV in my son and walked in from a lunch break to her trying her 11th time..side note, the normal amount of times you should MORALLY attempt to put in an IV is 2 MAYBE 3, until you grab someone else. I was upset and told her she can grab another NP or a Flight Nurse and stop trying on my son, she tried one more time before my dad intervened and told her we would sue if she did not get someone else. She went to her husband and complained that we were trying to tell her how to do her job and he came to us and told us that we were not allowed to speak to her the way we did and we had to let her do… what she was trained to do since we don't know as much as her. He then asked my dad to leave and I asked for an AMA form to discharge from the hospital, with our surgeons approval. The next day we returned and the nursing staff had heard from the doctor that my dad and I caused a scene and were screaming and cussing (which we would never do in the presence of small healing babies) and the staff themselves told us they knew it wasn't true and was probably a result of pillow talk and obvious breach of HIPAA. I would NEVER have my child be in that NICU while those two are working there.
